My daughter shared an honest review this evening of the experience we had with your venue, and your unprofessional response was to basically call her a liar and say that you doubt she even had an appointment. Well I am here as her mom to confirm what took place. I was the one who called the week of 2/14 to make an appointment to tour your venue. I spoke with Don and we agreed on Wednesday 2/23, we agreed to meet at 5pm and Don asked if we could get there a little earlier that would be great because he had a tasting at 5:30, I told him I would try. On Wednesday 2/23 my daughter and her fiancé were there at 4:50pm, when they entered the venue nobody knew they were coming even Don who actually made the appointment. My daughter called me as I was driving there and told me that no one knows of our appointment, which I responded that’s not right because I made the appointment with Don and he told me if I could get there before 5 it would be great because he had a tasting appointment at 5:30. When I got there my daughter came down to meet me and brought me up to Don’s office. We proceeded to go through dates for September or October 2023. Don advised that he had September 23, 2023 and September 30, 2023 that were on hold but he advised that both had been on hold for a while. Don stated that 9/30 has been on hold since December and 9/23 has been on hold since January 15th. Don advised us that he wasn’t even going to call the couple who placed the 9/30 on hold because it’s been so long but that he would call the people who placed 9/23 on hold to see if they still wanted that date, which is the date my daughter really wanted. Don stated that if the 9/23 couple still wanted that date then my daughter could still have 9/30 seeing that he wasn’t even going to call them based on the length of the hold. He agreed to call my daughter to advise her if she was able to have the preferred 9/23 date or would have the 9/30 based on what the 9/23 couple would say. My daughter called a couple of days later to follow up, Don called her back and advised her that the couple holding the 9/23 date were keeping that date but that the 9/30 date someone who works at the venue had reserved that date for another party but never added it to the calendar or system. So unfortunately the only dates available were 2 dates in August which my daughter was not interested in getting married in August. So before responding to a review and basically calling my daughter a liar, you may want to get your facts straight. Because I have my facts straight and I don’t forget anything, including the code for the bridal suite (which I won’t include in this review because I would never do that) Don provided us so we can take a look at it as he joined his next appointment. And just in case you still doubt that we were even there I’ll add some pictures I took that day. So in the future just be honest, people make mistakes and in this case they forgot to add in a date they already booked. But don’t assume people are lying when they are providing an honest review. Your defensive response to my daughters comment just gives people reason not to do business with you.
I can’t even put into words how incredible The Wurlitzer is. Tammy and the staff are completely top notch. We had our wedding there this past weekend in The Wurlitzer Room and it exceeded our expectations. We knew it would be amazing, but it was even better than we could have imagined. Tammy has been working with us the past three years (we were a Covid wedding and postponed multiple times) so we have been working with her since 2019. She helped us through all of the postponements and all of the planning in the most stress-free possible way! She made sure our every need was met and responded to every message, text, email, and phone call immediately. I will definitely be having Tammy plan more events for us in the future!! The staff was incredible as well and we have had so many compliments on how attentive they were. The room was completely stunning and the outdoor patio was a HUGE hit. The food was also DELICIOUS and high quality. Many of our guests talked about how much they enjoyed their food! I was able to meet Don yesterday as well and loved him too! He made sure to check-in on the groomsmen when they got ready the morning of the wedding, which I loved. We just felt so incredibly taken care of this entire wedding process and we just can’t say enough positive, amazing things about it. The Wurlitzer will always have a VERY special place in our hearts. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the BEST day of our lives!!...
Read moreWas there this past Tuesday night with many Scouting friends and family for a Scouting Awards Dinner. They ran out of Chicken, servers were telling those waiting in line that there was no more coming out. Couple tables did not get all the food being served, only thing left were vegetables, potatoes, over cooked lasagna and pasta. Potatoes were too spicy, the lasagna was burnt on the bottom, and very hard to cut, took too long to serve ice cream, it was rock solid, just the banquet manger scooping it for over 250 (It should of been scooped prior and brought out in cups). Banquet Manager was seen as being rude to the one of the staff organizers of the event, at the desert table, Manager caused the program to be delayed because of his placement of the dessert table. Prices for drinks were on the high end, more than you would pay at other Banquets for a cash bar. Staff was not organized, and looked to be short handed for the size of the event. The only plus was the venue, many people who came left hungry, most banquets have seconds, this evening there wasn’t even 1st for some. Management needs to make improvements to food and service, they also need to make sure they have enough food to serve all who are in attendance. If you are thinking of having an event at this venue, be prepared for bad service, and not enough food. Read the reviews from Mother’s Day, guess they didn’t learn...
