Walgreens — Local services in City of North Tonawanda

Do NOT go to this pharmacy. I had to switch since rite aid closed, but I wouldn’t have willingly. It’s always a ridiculously long wait time even with five people in line. This week, I had to go back FOUR times after receiving a text saying they were ready. I went twice, waited 20 minutes each time, and left without being seen due to having appointments I needed to get to. I went back a THIRD time, finally made it to the counter only to be told only one of my prescriptions were ready despite receiving multiple texts that they all were ready. I told the associate that they are definitely ready and it hasn’t been long enough for them to be put back on the shelf. Instead of double checking, she just said, “It doesn’t say it on the computer”. She said they could refill it, but it would be another 20 minutes, so I left and said I’d be back to pick it up later. I get in my car and drive away…not even five minutes go by, I receive a text saying they’re ready. I live five minutes away. I was so over going back to this pharmacy three times (and now a fourth) that I didn’t even turn around. I will be taking my business elsewhere. And if you’re thinking this is just another negative review that probably was my fault, trust me, it is not. I do not leave reviews, but if I could save someone from an obnoxious escapade like this, I will.

Has been my preferred place for prescriptions, however, today I found out they changed their hours for pharmacy with no warning. As I was walking toward pharmacy almost bumped into both managers and received dirty looks.. stopped dead in my tracks, turned and asked if the hours changed and told “yeah it changed on the 18th…” As if there was some kind of signage mentioning that prior to today. Not one employee had mentioned that when I pick up other prescription. As it is the pharmacy was only open until I get out of work and I understand it not being open past 8 PM, but now I can’t even get there before I run to work. Very poor communication with this change of hours. I will give credit where credit is due, the rest of the employees are generally very friendly, always greeted me when I walk in the door or when I passed them in the isles. This was just a very crummy way of finding out that the hours are changing and making it that much more...

I've been going to this Walgreens for years, routinely for medications for my family. The pharmacist (I think?) Who gave me and my daughter flu shots for the last two years is wonderful, and everyone else has been generally kind until today. The person behind the pharmacy counter had just the worst attitude and seemed irritated and talked to her colleagues about the fact that I requested covid tests for my daughter who's sick. She didn't explain why we were waiting and interrupted me when I tried to ask about them, I eventually figured out that she was waiting for insurance approval but hearing her say to her coworkers that people can get COVID tests for every little cold was just weird and frustrating. Is it not a good thing to be testing? I was so uncomfortable.

We're switching to rite aid down the street. I don't want to deal with that...
