First off I love Aldis. I live a 1/2 Mile from the Lake Ave store and have good experiences with them and some bad. If you can see a customer struggling do not make it worse on them because you have certain goals to reach. I am not alone in this world with having problems with Anxiety going grocery shopping or to any store. My card was not working cause I had locked my card and I didn't realize I was logged into my other account. When things don't go perfect it causes me more anxiety. Rushing to unlock my card I didn't realize I was unlocking the wrong one . As I was trying to get into my other account. Im Yelling my phone to hurry stressing out more because I can see the line getting longer. Can sense everyone staring at me. On the verge of a panic attack. The guy at the register is telling me to step aside he has to suspend my order to take care of everyone else. I'm refusing to walk away the last thing that I want is to be in the store any longer the i needed to be. I'm struggling to get my items paid for and escape the suffocation of of my surroundings. I'm sure he wasn't the only person working at that time he could of gotten someone to help on another register. By the time I realized what I did wrong it took less then a minute to fix it and finish paying but it felt like an eternity because he didn't care about what was going on with the customer in front of him. He just cared abouts reaching his numbers, his hourly quota. I will not be going back to that store I would rather drive to the one further away on spencerport road...
Read moreSmaller than a usual grocery store so don't expect a million options of any one item. Pretty clean. You can get most essential food items here. Prices are unbeatable. They always have an aisle or two of seasonal items that you have to grab when you see them because a week later they'll be gone, possibly forever. Usually well stocked (not usually out of any of their staple things, except soy milk sometimes). Few cashiers at any given time but that doesn't bother me, wait time in line is never more than a few minutes. They open more cash registers as needed. They don't sell alcohol of any kind or ice, cigarettes, usually not any charcoal. Hours seem to be usually 8am to 8pm, except holidays. Employees are very nice. Usually one security guard. Best to bring your own reusable bags as they charge for each of theirs...
Read moreI went here to learn if this was a bike friendly grocery store. It is! All the staff, including the security guard, were extremely helpful. The produce folks offered me some bananas they were removing-- we prefer them a bit more ripe and wanted bananas to eat that day, while most on display were slightly green and better for a day or two later. I needed to find the bike repair stands I'd heard they had in the seasonal section, and the security guard went in search of them, and found them. I even spoke with the shift manager directly to learn if cyclists are welcome, and was informed of a bike rack out to the side and back of the parking lot. Plus the prices are great, and all pantry basics are a great value! Will be shopping here...
