I highly, highly recommend this service to anyone and everyone no matter their needs or skill sets. My tech person, Anthony, a veteran who by the way proudly served and sacrificed for our great nation, spent at last count 4 1/2 hours resolving my needs. I naively thought, being the computer dinosaur that I am, that my service requests were easy and would be resolved quickly so was hesitant once I found out what it was going to cost but I knew I needed a specialist and liked the fact that it (service call) could be done without leaving home. Let me tell you Anthony had his hands full and he did not disappoint! I simply can not describe what he had to go through with me because as embarrassing as it is, I am computer illiterate and could not follow instructions or perform even the simplest of steps in order for him to sign and navigate through and update my system. Anthony, although I got testy at times, maintained a high degree of professionalism; was skillful at explaining his commands; polite and steadfast to the task at hand throughout the entire call. Poor Anthony, it was the nightmare of nightmare service calls. The service call has ended but he has yet to finalize my service requests which will be completed on Monday. Technologically educated, resourceful, committed and knowledgeable is an under statement!! You will not regret calling this company for your technological...
Read moreExtremely bad business practice, looks for any reasons to not pay their techs. I was sent over a work order to "install a battery" on a macbook. Battery was already installed by a previous tech that they sent out the day prior. Upon arrival I took pictures on my personal cellphone of missing screw, damage on the logic board, misc hardware to send over to David & Roy at rescuecom, customer asked if I could also give them a copy. The customers reason for calling rescuecom originally was the computer wouldn't turn on which required a simple SMC reset using a keystoke but the main reason was the battery not holding a charge. Now the computer will need major repair or replacement. David the owner of the comapny was EXTREMELY rude to the customer, causing me to feel very uncomfortable while onsite with him. Also claiming that he was "untouchable and not afraid of anyone" and "having so much money not know what to do with it" but at the end of the day they cant seem to pay there technicians. Laptop could not be repaired onsite at the time due to a significant amount of parts needed & customer terminating the contract with rescuecom. STAY FAR AWAY! DO YOUR RESEARCH ON FACEBOOK, GOOGLE REVIEWS PRIOR. 90% of the reviews I would say are fake after experiencing the way this...
Read moreThis company is a total scam! Just watch the owner’s blustering ‘infommercial video’ talking about how great he is and how he knows ‘the computer secret’ you need to know. He’s obviously attended all of these ‘entrenpreneur’ seminars.
Go through the one star reviews and you will see a common theme— David consistently hires techs who don’t know what they’re doing.
His main business comes from exploiting elderly people with overpriced simple repairs who don’t know how to turn on a computer. His five star reviews are either from sending them review links, or from buying positive reviews (which is easy to do there are services offering this for cheap).
Stay far away from this guy, he’s a complete scumbag running a ripoff service and his bungling technicians have damaged so many computers of myself and others who have hired him. There is no rescue com franchise— he’s just a middleman who hires techs from any city he gets a call from and sends them to work. Call Geek Squad— cheaper and far more professional and they have accountability if they mess up...
