That 80's Toy Shop! LLC — Local services in City of Tonawanda

I like to support local businesses whenever possible. That 80's Toy Shop is awesome, they carry action figures both New and old. I have gotten Action figures here that are no longer made. I got my Brother a Transformer he wanted for Christmas here. That 80's Toy Shop got it before Target did. I even ordered the GI Joe Cobra Commander action figure through That 80's Toy Shop it was definitely worth the wait. The GI Joe Cobra Commander was very nicely detailed, what was nice was I supported a local business to get it. I always like to support local businesses, plus the more money I spend at a local business. The more of that money stays in the local region like Western New York. If you like action figures new and old and your in the Western New York area, you have to visit That 80's Toy Shop. Good sole Toystores are hard to come by especially after Toys R Us shut down. Toystores like That 80's Toy Shop most definitely fill in the void left when Toys R Us closed and they do better. I also like local businesses like That 80's Toy Shop because you get more personalized attention at a store like this that you just don't get at bigger chain stores. Keep up the great work That...

About 30 years ago, there were some amazing collectibles shops in Buffalo where I could find everything from Mego superhero figures to monster model kits by Aurora.

Sadly, most of these places closed with the growing popularity of online shopping. As convenient as that can be for finding obscure toys, I felt that I lost a very fun--if not crucial--aspect of toy collecting when they shut their doors. It just wasn't the same without that "treasure hunt" atmosphere.

Then, when it seemed all hope was lost, I stumbled upon That 80s Toy Shop.

Wow!

There really is something here for everyone. You'll find things you've been missing since childhood, things you forgot you ever had, and things you hadn't heard of before but now need.

I left with an original Micronauts time traveler, still carded. Not something I expected to find in a brick and mortar store in 2025!

My world has been made a happier place with the addition of more faded 70s sci-fi box art, chrome paint and translucent tinted plastic.

It was a great surprise to see this place pop up, as Buffalo has had a need for nostalgic toy shops like this for a while. That 80s Toy Shop has a pretty rich selection of vintage and brand new toys, and so much of it is in great condition as there’s definitely a collector focus to what they sell. They sell sealed merchandise, used items, and even take in trades as well.

With great prices, a surprisingly broad selection of properties and decades, a very nice, knowledgeable and helpful owner as well as a convenient location right off the 290, I definitely recommend stopping in to That...
