Still the best game store in Watertown, some issues exist. Difficulty purchasing products as employee distractions are high, as well as issues with their "buylist". A buylist is primarily for individuals selling cards to a game store for either credit or cash. Our experience with this was as follows. We submitted cards and were told they would sort and price everything and give us a number. I did inventory and price them myself prior to arriving and had a rough estimate of the market valuation (keep in mind most stores do 45 - 60 % credit, and 30-45% cash value depending on the card and condition etc.). Upon them completing the process I was called over and asked what I wanted for them, to which I responded "make an offer". I was then informed this is not how that works (on the contrary, it is at almost every game store universally with the bigger stores having a dedicated buylist and prices available online). So I asked what my cards totaled at retail, and again received a dirty look and the gentleman requested I give him a number. I gave him the retail number I had arrived at knowing I was way off and was told they could do 60 percent in credit or 40 in cash, which is actually a very good rate for a local game store. I accepted, but due to the way staff handled themselves, I would caution people to be wary of not getting the real worth of their cards as these are hallmarks of a store hoping you don't know...
Read morePretend to be friendly. Went in after being told on the phone they gave 65% of market value as cash when arriving they must not recognize my voice because all of a sudden it’s 40% cash value of market price not only that My Son was with me and as they were scanning my cards, they were sliding cards on, scanned into the pile of scanned cards. Total value of all of my rares before I went into the shop was $3879. This is all from TCG player mid market value not high-end. For all of my valuable rares they gave me a whopping $700 when in all actuality even at 50% which we decided at the end would be the total payout it would’ve been $1000 minimum paid to me I let it go because I was hard up for cash. They told me to bring my bulk rays back in the next day and they would give me $.50 a piece for all of my rares after counting 375 rares they gave me a whopping $18.75. These people are a bunch of idiots and they will not get my...
Read moreNOT NEWCOMER FRIENDLY!!!!! Chicken Richards review pretty much hits the nail right on the head here! I went into this establishment earlier today very aware of what I had but played dumb just to get a better read of their character. let's just say this shop isn't for anyone that don't know what they have at all some slightly shady stuff was pulled in my opinion. With trading cards becoming increasingly popular by the day this does worry me a little. This being said just do your research if you're going to sell here. otherwise just sell your stuff online and only really make purchase's here you'll get a much better price with all the sites they have out there anyways, and I promise you'll be much better off this way! In the end they made off with a bit of money and lost out on a well-paying and what would've been return customer really hope they...
