my mom passed in march, and i broke a cherished necklace she gave me the day after we lost her. between the grief, the memorial planning, and everything else, i forgot to get it fixed, and only remembered as i was packing everything to go back home. brought it in to kay’s, but they had a 4-6 week return window. they recommended marlyn’s. sydney is such a beautiful soul, and wrapped me and my beautiful piece in so much love and care. i was also quoted a 4-6 week repair window, but they had it done by the end of the same day i brought it in. sydney diligently communicated every step of the process with me, and the jeweler who expedited my repair shared that he, too, had a beloved piece from his mom, and so treated my jewelry with respect and care. i can’t emphasize enough what an incredible job they did, and how touched and grateful i am, and how reasonable the repair cost was. if you’re not going here for new jewelry, for repairs, for being seen, you’re missing out.

I just proposed last night and she said YES!!! I have Jesse and the staff at Marlyn Jewelers to thank for helping me design a one-of-a-kind engagement ring. We put it together with my (now fiancée's) Great Grandmother's engagement diamond and her mother's side stones from her original engagement ring. They met with her mother and myself multiple times to make necessary adjustments to the design and accommodated for every request we had. We ended up spending MUCH less than we would've at a chain jewelry store and the final product was absolutely incomparable to anything else we could've gotten for the price. I first discovered Marilyn Jewelers, when they were located in Forest Park, over 30 years ago, when I first moved to the city. I recently found them again and I’ve had the most positive experience. Very friendly atmosphere, sales people are eager to help, but not overbearing. They’re very knowledgeable and if they don’t have it, they’re willing to find it. I needed repairs on a gold watch and several piece of jewelry, that just sat in a draw for years, as well as a few appraisals. They were able to do it all in house. There’s a watchmaker right there on the premises! You don’t find that at the mall!!! Everything was quick and I’m definitely going back, because I’ve got my eye on a few shiny items!!!
