I wanted Mexican & they're the closest to the house so my guy picked up steak fajitas for me & a cheeseburger combo for my daughter(drink separate & pricey for the size)anyhow, I was eating the refried beans & kept pulling out pieces of what I thought was red plastic(some got caught in my throat & I threw up),there was quite a bit blended in with the beans. By this time I couldn't do anything because they were already closed. I put everything back in the bag & was going to take it back up the next day when I got off from work because I wanted to enjoy my food as a whole meal. I got there & some servers were standing by the front counter, I showed them the little red pieces that you could literally snap in half(the night prior & in that moment),they told me that it was some type of pepper they use & trying to explain to me that it is a kind "you can chew on",I was unfamiliar because I don't "chew" on peppers/pepper skin, but no biggie, I still couldn't understand why I couldn't bite into it & actually chew it up to swallow? They said it was mixed in when they prepare it so there's nothing they can do about that. I was polite the whole time & all I wanted was for it to be re-made. They took the bag, I sat down & then the manager came around the corner, with a pepper in her hand. The body language told it all, so she begins to show me the pepper(like a black pepper that eventually turns red from what she explained),I felt like I was getting a lesson of some sort yet still no answer to why I couldn't break it down with my teeth & why it caused me to throw up from choking on it. I could snap the "pepper pieces" in half. I explained that I had pictures/video only because I didn't want them to feel as if I was trying to get over on them, including bringing everything back,I didn't even want a refund(in hindsight I should've just done that),I just wanted to enjoy the meal that I paid for minus the plastic-like parts. By the end of that interaction, she tells me my fajitas were almost gone(I did make one fajita with a tortilla, which I let be known, returned the other 2 torts along with everything else because I didn't get to eat more)almost as if insinuating I was trying to get over on them in some way? It's not like there was a lot to begin with in the first place if we're being honest, but there was definitely a little shade in her tone. No apology about anything, just a condescending attitude with a fake smile. She brought my re-made order, minus the beans, I left. I then thought, give her some grace, food replaced, all good, until I opened my bag, the containers weren't sealed like they usually are so juices all on the bottom of the bag & a little on the greasy side. I didn't even feel comfortable eating it after all that, so money wasted & most importantly time. I'll never eat here again but customer service should definitely be worked on. I work in the restaurant business as well & I/we would NEVER treat our customers like this, I felt like I was an inconvenience & met with push back/attitude instead of listening to the problem & trying to make it right, kindness & professionalism go a long way! MY money was spent & wasted, I should've been...
Read moreOrdered the Burritos Tipicos. Found out after it arrived at the table and I cut into it that it comes with green and red peppers, onions, and tomato - that isn't mentioned in the menu. Talked to the waitress about getting it redone, because had I known that I would have ordered something else (we decided to take my original dish home for my husband to eat the next day, so I wasn't trying to get anything removed from the bill or get anything for free). Was told that the shredded beef and shredded chicken always has the peppers and such in it and that it can't be removed. So the person who came over to the table (the manager, I guess?) asked if I'd like for them to substitute steak instead. I was fine with that.
By the time I got my food, my family had finished eating and so I had to get it boxed to eat at home. Already disappointing, but then when I got home I found out that they didn't put the refried beans in the burritos, which the menu specifies that it comes with. So they were just dry steak in tortillas. After the main issue with the food not being spelled out well on the menu, that was just the final disappointment that when they remade it they left out one of the main things that goes into the dish. The rest of the family said the food was really good, so I'm sad I didn't have the same experience. Since the second plate was wrong, I don't think...
Read moreWe here at 3pm today .Time was good as not allot of people.. This visit was the 10th time for us. We are here for the poloblano peppers they serve in a Chillies Rellieno smothered in their house brown sauce is a little bit of heaven. Get them everytime. My friend likes the poloblano meal (Usually) My one friend got the Seafood burrito & we ordered the Combo plates (that had a Rellieno in the meal). When the plates were served we BOTH realized the peppers were 1/2 cooked, Not Done!! Also my friends pepper was cold. 😒I came for the pepper guys.. We told the waiter right away, he brought a man to see the problem. The man was the manager on duty, He Said, if ONE chilli Rellieno is like that!! 😝They all were like that.!?! 🎋So...! #That means everyone that orders the peppers today will get uncooked cold, bad food.?!?! SOMEONE NEEDS RE-TRAINED .. This is the LAST 60.00 lunch from us..we ate here every week.. For last 10.. (Ask the owner what is 60.00 x 10 ??? ) 😝Bad Food. No thanks.. #Also, he only warmed my friends pepper did not fix the rawness of the pepper, when done, he just left the whole pepper on plate.. Then, nothing was done to correct food or compensate for uncooked problem on a $14.99 meal. If this is the way you treat the customers I will be sure to tell...
