I arrived here about 12:50pm on a Sunday afternoon with my brotherâs girlfriend to upgrade her phone. Sheâs on my account, so I needed to go as well. We were promptly greeted. There were 3 staff persons available and no customers.
Andrew S. was the person who assisted us with the upgrade. Initially, Andrew said they didnât have any iPhone 14 Pro Max in stock and it would need to be ordered, which she decided to do. Andrew decided to check the back and they had one available. Andrew also told us that a customer bought a watch and retuned it but never used it. Since my sis got a new phone, there was a $250 off deal for series 8 Apple Watch. It also had a $50 coupon on it. I decided to get it and upgrade my Apple Watch SE. There was a $35 activation fee for both the watch and the phone.
Since the devices were still attached to other orders, Andrew had to call Verizon to remove/cancel them. This was what made the visit take FOREVERRRR! It started to get busy as well. At one point, all the agents were with people and there were 3 people waiting.
After waiting a bunch of waiting, Andrew told us around 1:40pm that it was giving him a bunch of hassle with him canceling the order that was connected to the device. While I appreciate his attempts and I know that itâs out of his control, we did waste like 30+ minutes.
Andrew ordered the purple iPhone 14 pro max 128GB online. He said it would be here (in store)in a week. I paid for the activation fee for the Series 8 watch, obtained the watch from Andrew, and then we left.    Read moreWe went to another Verizon location in Garner this afternoon to purchase new phones. We let the salesperson know what we were wanting to buy and he told me to go through the app and basically order the phones myself and select store pickup as the delivery option. I didn't think much of it, but when he brought the phones to us, he just gave us the boxed phones and told us we could activate them when we got home. My husband and I are usually pretty good with technology, and I figured maybe this was a COVID-19 precaution so that they didn't have to touch people's devices, so I was initially fine with this. However, when we got home we ran into all kinds of problems with activating our devices. We tried to figure it out ourselves, but we ended up going to the Verizon store in Clayton since that is closer to where we live. I explained the situation to Sean and he brought us back to a desk and sat down with us to take a look. It turns out that the guy who told us to order the phones through our app assigned our phones to the wrong phone numbers and that was essentially causing all of the problems. Sean was extremely friendly and helpful. He let us know what happened and he told us what he was doing to get it corrected. My phone needed a software update that required WiFi, so that was a step I needed to do once I got home, but after doing that it works like a charm! We both now have working phones and I wish that we had gone to the Verizon Clayton and worked with Sean in the first place. We will definitely be going to see him for any other Verizon visits...
   Read moreI went into the Smithfield store and worked with Janet who fixed all my problems and was wonderful to me and my mother after working with Tyrese in Clayton when over priced what I was purchasing and then lied outright to my face about fees after I had already signed everything. After getting home and realizing he lied again about about another issue to where what he sold me would not even work with my moms phone. Knowing her phone was a certain model and never told her it would not connect to each other. So I then had to go back and buy a new phone. Thinking I was going to have to spend another 2 hours in his store which is not even in my town. I called before leaving said what happened. He said he had a phone and in way there then said he didnât. I asked him to call Smithfield store he said they didnât have any. Come to find out they did. I went there instead. I called in way to save phone and she met me when I walked in. From the get go one of the best experiences I have ever had. JANET will take care of you. I have never had good business from the Clayton store and have worked with Tyrese twice now. Once on 2/15/2021 and once when I purchased a new phone. Worst service ever. Lies will ruin your business.
