Horrible experience. Actually had pains in my chest from the encounter with her ( the owner). She was extremely rude to my husband when he asked out of curiosity, why we needed to have an appointment. She explained for about 2 minutes how there are no employees and that saves money. Then told us they make enough money and we can go ahead a go somewhere else. She then abrubtly turned her back on us a went into her office. Afterwards, she came out and watched our every step. My husband asked about delivery and again got some weird long answer that just should have been: yes, my 16 year old son does deliveries. When she spoke of her son I smiled and chuckled. She lost her mind and started accusing me of laughing at her and, I guess her business. I tried to explain to her that I love family run business’s. Where I used to live every one knew each other and that was how it was done. She went ballistic calling me condescending and told us to leave. Never expected to find this kind of crazy on beautiful Saturday morning. We should of left when she first told us to go somewhere else. That’s on us. Luckily we were taken care of at Wayside Furniture in Garner. Their going out of business sale ends Tuesday. WF heard stories about this place and sympathized. The salesperson at Wayside also mentioned we dodged a bullet because boxdrop in Clayton sells crap.. In response to your response: Unfortunately you have to press a star to post or their would not of been one star posted by either of us. Most importantly, I never spoke any words to you except to try and calm you down before we left. Again, my husband asked the questions that apparently set you off. You obviously have some mental health issues or lack of integrity or both. My husband and I are very nice people. Both retired teachers from NC and very much loving life. You have falsely represented yourself in this situation. If this happened to us more than likely it has happened to others coming into that building and will continue to happen. I hope our review will prevent any one else from experiencing what we did today. Time will certainly reveal the...
Read moreHorrible customer service. Can’t post without giving one star. The women we met was Argumentative and impolite from the start.Stopped by expecting a furniture store felt like instead we entered an insane person’s store. We did not know about appointments and were told we had 10 minutes to look or go somewhere else. We should of left after that rudeness. Thats on us. Never ever expected the burst of crazy insecure accusation of being told we were condescending and asked to leave. All we did was ask normal questions about delivery. Want some excitement in your life? Go into boxdrop store in Clayton and visit the crazy lady. Peace out
In response to BoxDrop’s answer to my review. You obviously have no integrity in addition to your lack of professionalism and person skills. I am the person who asked the questions about why you did business by appointment only. Which is when you became highly defensive. My wife only chuckled when you said that if we needed a pick up of the old set that your 16 year old son would do it because that is how it was done in the town she moved from and she told you that. But, again you became defensive. Your issues are with me and me alone. There is no way you can wiggle out of how disrespectful you were. You treated us as an interruption to your day when in fact, any customer in your store, online, or on the phone is and should be the reason for your business day. You greatly upset my wife by your words and accusations and inaccurate statements for which I hold you personally responsible. So all know, we moved on to another furniture store and purchased a sectional from kind, respectful and professional people. All the attributes we expected from BoxDrop and received none. The owners of Drop Box appear to have a hobby, not an actual business, and I am letting any potential future customers know that this is the way they should expect...
Read moreThe nice couple at the store did all they could to sell us a new couch and love seat. That being said the furniture that we bought there on 7/16/2022 is already falling apart!! Barely a year old and we are rarely at home to use it. Even when we are at home we don't often sit in there. The manufacturer has gone out of business so I am told we have no recourse there. We bought a separate protection plan which does not cover any of the defects we are having because it is the manufacturing of the product that is an issue. I have reached out to the store, the only help that can be offered to me is to pay a contractor to come and repair this junk out of my own pocket. I have paid 2,137.14 for this furniture for no one to stand behind the product or warranties that were offered to us at the time of the sale. I will never buy another piece of furniture from Lane or Box Drop or another warranty of any kind from guardsman for as long as I live!!!
I suggest no one buy anything from any of these companies themselves. Unless you just like throwing your money down the toilet!!! No customer service!!! No help with any of it!!!! ...
