Great vintage Florida attraction worth a visit.  As others mentioned, the tower is past its prime, but they seem to keep it in decent condition.  It was a nice diversion from the newer, crazier, busier attractions in Central Florida. We love old-school attractions like this, and the Citrus Tower did not fail to deliver.  The elevator ride was smooth and did not smell or appear unkept as others mentioned. The observation deck was clean with what appeared to be updated tiles. I love how they kept the vintage 1950s-era signage showing distances to notable areas.  I’m sure you’ll realize you will not see any rolling hills of orange groves these days, but who cares at this point? Any view from over 200-feet is going to have some wow factor, regardless of what you’re looking at.

The woman at the gift shop where you purchase your excursion, was very kind and helpful.  We had a very nice chat. The gift shop itself, however a bit small, had just enough of a variety of items to please someone.  We bought a mug and coaster with the Citrus Tower graphics on it. There is a small, but very cool and informative history hallway around the corner inside from gift shop that should not be missed.  There are plenty of vintage photos, artifacts, old souvenirs, etc on display.

The drive was not too bad from Orlando area.  The surrounding area of Clermont has a nice charm to it, and you can certainly do some light sightseeing while in the area.  The barbeque place in the same parking lot as the tower is excellent (separate review on that). And of course there’s the Hall of Presidents museum next door, another old-school attraction.  We will have to check that one...

Came here with family a few weeks ago and were sorta disappointed. The top could use more info posters with history and facts. There was an iPad that would send u photos if u gave an email, never received those. Also no binoculars, we had to guess what we could see. IMO the top should have posters of local info, historic timelines, large photos of past groves or farmers, like a museum would. Anything that made the area bit more interactive and especially informative for anyone who's here for their first time they should come away feeling like, hey I learned something! Heck even a QR code to scan when you're standing on certain sides to give you info would work. It'd be cool if u could listen or see something of significance to give you an idea of why the tower is iconic or piece of history here in Clermont. As someone who just moved the area I was hoping to learn more about the tower but ended up on my phone looking up info which I could have done at home. The main floor had lots of info and old relics which were really interesting, wish that reflected up stairs. There really should be like a drink/snack and tower ride package combo to utilize the coffee shop or a bounce back coupon like hey when you're done here's a dollar off a cafe item. Something! Instead it's a lost opportunity where I just opted to leave when I was done. I'll revisit and update my review again to see if improvements are made, as I want this place to succeed and apparently its under new management according to review responses. But for now I'm left with feeling like the $44 we spent wasn't...

My family and I loved this day trip we took to visit this little gem in Clermont. The Citrus Tower is a fun day trip idea that has a Day Admission pass that is totally worth it because you can pay a flat price and visit all day the day you visit. We went in the late afternoon and had some coffee in their cute coffee shop that is friendly staffed and very clean and organized! Great coffee and pastries, I recommend trying their churro donut(There is also a Puerto Rican restaurant in the same lobby as the coffee shop, we will have to give it a try next trip!). They have an espresso machine that was brought all the way from Italy! No wonder the coffee was so good! We loved learning about the history of the tower all throughout the lobby and in the tower from all the frames on the wall. Loved the pieces of history throughout the lobby as well. My toddler loved the penny drop in the tower level and myself with my husband and teens loved the view of Clermont and its surrounding cities during the day, but even better was at night! We left to go do other fun things around Clermont and came back later that evening with take out food that was allowed to be taken to the tower level and eat while we saw the beauty of Clermont and its night life, we even got to see the fireworks from various theme parks in the surrounding areas, like Disney and Universal! Very, clean and family friendly! We even got some locally made headbands from the gift shop and some stickers! We are definitely coming back as well as recommending it to family...

"You've arrived" Google cheerfully announced, but looking around at the rundown parking lot and opaque windows, I wasn't so sure. I decided to drive around the building to see if there was a different, more welcoming looking entrance. There wasn't. We entered into the coffee shop and asked about the tower, turns out we were in the right spot. For 30 bucks, we could ride the elevator, I was a little surprised when the tip percentage came up, but I assumed it was there for the coffee shop operations, so I clicked 0%. The staff let me know they were not impressed with my generosity. We laughed about that awkward experience on the way up, in the slightly dilapidated elevator. Trying to not let the awkward purchase, ruin the experience. Well, turns out there wasn't much to ruin. The elevator door opened, and we were instantly hit with the stale smell of wet dog, and a nice view. I don't know if it's the roof or the old windows (with foam squished around the edges), or both that leaked, but there was standing water around the perimeter of the elevated room. Credit to the owners, they provided plenty of fly swatters, fans, and a genius fix for the leaks... A hole drilled in the wall to allow it to drain out. We looked around for a few minutes, then decided that was enough of that. Overall, probably a cool place a few decades ago, now it's one of those awkward and sad tourist traps that's just a shadow of it's former glory, being propped up like the corpse from ''weekend at Bernie's', I say, put it out of its misery.

This place was really cute. You need to have reasonable expectations when you visit a place like this - it’s 70 years old. But with that in mind, I thought it was really well-maintained and the views were lovely, even if they’re views of urban sprawl instead of orange groves. We came at sunset, and the views of the sunset alone were lovely. The gift and coffee shop was also a delight. We got a couple lattes and took them to the observation deck with us to enjoy as we watched the sun set. Other reviewers have mentioned an unpleasant smell - we did not experience that. We visited on a rainy day and yes, there was a small pool of clean water against one wall, but again, this place is 70 years old and the observation deck wasn’t always enclosed (I believe it was enclosed in the 80s). Other reviewers have also mentioned that there appear to be drain holes drilled into the walls to help eliminate this standing water - it looks to me like those holes are original. Again, remember - this tower wasn’t always enclosed and I bet those holes were necessary for drainage when it was open-air. Overall, our visit was very pleasant. This isn’t the kind of place you’d spend hours and hours - get a coffee, go to the top, take in the views, take some pictures, and maybe return later in the evening to see the fireworks from the various parks (you can return all day with your single day purchase).
