Royalty Nail Spa & Lounge — Local services in Cleveland Heights

I had a disappointing experience at Royalty Nails. The salon lacks a welcoming aesthetic, and the back room behind the blue curtain is extremely cluttered and disorganized, which did not set a professional tone. The limited color selection was also underwhelming, and many of the polish bottles had polish all over them, giving a messy and unhygienic impression.

I arrived 10 minutes early for my appointment but was not taken for more than 25 minutes after my scheduled time. It was clear they had overbooked themselves and did not prioritize clients with appointments. When I mentioned to the owner that I couldn’t wait any longer due to work, I was met with no apology—instead, I received a snappy response. The owner made a scene in front of the entire salon, and both clients and staff joined in, creating a very uncomfortable situation.

I did not feel welcomed or treated kindly at this salon. While other clients seemed to receive a warm and positive attitude, I did not experience the same. Money is money, and every client deserves respect and fair treatment regardless of their background. I was also not offered the complimentary beverage service as advertised on their website—not even a simple glass of water.

Furthermore, if the salon charges a $25 fee for clients who are 15 minutes late, it’s only fair to wonder if I would have been compensated for waiting well beyond my appointment time. I highly doubt it.

I have been to deja before shop is great always welcoming and beautiful. Very clean love that require you to wash hands for whatever service you get and they offer water and mimosas. Last time I went I was serviced by deja but this time a different person which threw me off but I wanted to give her a chance as I took a look at her social media and her pictures look great but to be totally honest I loved my pedicure from deja this one is fine but you can see through my polish, I have some polish on my skin and my polish was rushed to me at a certain point I felt like maybe she was rushing due to another appointment I also noticed I still have some dead skin that deja was able to get off my toes before It would be nice to know you are not getting the person you thought you were booking with especially when it’s a special service and the person who will service me is still learning. Other than that she was very polite made sure I was comfortable great massage and cleaned my cuticles well and great shaping It’s not terrible work just not what I was expecting based on what I received from deja before. Royalty is amazing! I came in January of 2022 to get the hot stone pedicure. It was very relaxing and Deja is so friendly. I loved it. I just got a pedicure with my sisters and mom for my mom’s birthday and we all enjoyed ourselves. I was in a time crunch calling all over Cleveland for an appointment for the 4 of us to get pedicures. Thankfully Royalty got us all in with no problems!
