Interstate Kitchen Supply / Appliance Distributor — Local services in Cleveland

Our refrigerator was purchased from interstate Kitchen Supply about two years ago. Recently we noticed water collection on the bottom floor of the refrigerator. It took us tremendous effort with the help of qualified technician until we found the reason. The drain pan was substantially rusted and eroded which created a hole that leaked the water. This is a considerable manufacturer deffeciency for only 2 year old refrigerator. We want to pass this problem to a higher level official at GE factory to express our great disappointment of the GE products. We are looking for an explanation for such a deffeciency which is a health hazard. When GE called us back they said the refrigerator was manufactured in 2008 which we were not aware of since that the sales person at Interstate Kitchen Supply did not disclose to us when we purchased the refrigerator in 2014.

Our recent findings suggest that this deficiency of our GE model ( the Leaking rusted- pan) has been detected by several other customers like us. Thanks to the store representative of interstate kitchen, she has been helpful and cooperative to share with us the extent of this problem. I bought a suite of appliances (dishwasher, electric stove, and refrigerator) for an investment property and struggled to find one store that helped me identify good options since the kitchen dimensions were on the smaller side, I went with GE appliances. Working with JW reminded me of days gone by with a store like B&B appliances, solely specialized in appliances. The store staff are very knowledgeable and helpful and their delivery crew are also employees, unlike other box stores. The guys were great and used straps to move appliances in/out which decreases issues with flooring, etc. My only reason for deducting one star is that I noticed a large scratch on the fridge door later in the delivery day. AWESOME company. Buy local! Our salesperson JW helped us pick out an entire house worth of appliances and found manufacturer discounts in a few cases. JW also made himself available to our HVAC guy to select the correct makeup-air damper equipment to go with the kitchen hood we bought. This isn't the kind of service/support you would get elsewhere.
