What sort of restaurant knowingly serves customers rotten food? Absolutely disgusting. I came in with my daughter, it was our first time here and we ordered our food, and I let them know the beans in my meal tasted old and slimy. I couldn’t eat it. They didn’t offer to change my order or offer an apology. I pre-ordered takeout for my husband and I let them know not to use the same beans because it tasted bad and should not be served to anyone. The waiter assured me they had used different beans for my carry-out, well that was LIE, my husband took one bite and spat it right out. The entire meal went in the garbage. I will not recommend this business to my worst enemy, trying to make people sick just to make a quick buck. First and last time at this location. And if you value your wallet, there are better taco shops that don’t serve week old beans that’s rotten.

In response to the owner, you must be mistaken. Nobody brought me a new batch. I told the server the beans tasted bad, to which she replied she would go check it. She came back minutes later and stated the beans tasted okay and it was made fresh that morning. Nobody made me a new batch, so I think this must be a different incident. I ate the rest of my food and left the beans untouched. Again citing that it wasn’t fresh. When the take out came I asked if it was the same beans because if it was, I didn’t want it. To which the male server responded that it was a new batch made for the take out (I now realize that was a lie). The takeout was for my partner not me, he took one bite and said the exact same thing. The beans was spoiled. I love Mexican, you do not know me well enough to conclude I don’t like refried beans. Nobody likes old slimy food that smell bad. And what would it benefit me to come in your restaurant and make up lies? Do better.

The fact that this business thinks preparing a to-go order is “meeting the the customer halfway” says a lot. You prepared my order and I paid in full as is the basis of your business, plus tipped despite the terrible service. I simply stated the beans was bad but the rest of the food was fine. Didn’t ask for a new plate, and didn’t receive one. You own a business, take accountability for your shortcomings...

This place has had a struggle in change over from a bar, and I hope it can survive. I saw a sign that said they serve "agua frescas," and I have a nursing home resident I care for who is constantly asking for one. So my mom and I came in to try the place. The decor is bright and beautiful with ornately hand-carved tables and chairs brought straight in from Mexico.

They are promoting themselves as a family restaurant, but they also serve alcohol.

My mom has a milk allergy, so we had to ask for her stuff without cheese. I think the guy taking our order was confused and insulted, but they did make her the #8 Street Tacos without cheese. I got the #12 Enchiladas Verdes with the agua fresca that was not horchata (coz I've already had one before). I got one to go for my resident. I also split a churros for dessert with my mom. I was delighted to find some of them were stuffed with dulce de leche and had a lovely red berry dipping sauce and a chocolate dipping sauce.

It was delicious and we both had a good time. We felt like "endless chips and salsa" was missing, but it's very much like Don Ramon's, Don Tequilla, or most other authentic Mexican-style restaurants.

I would love to try any of their other...

2 dollar taco Tuesday for heartache from all the grease no thanks also no complimentary chips and salsa. Every Mexican restaurant I've gone to has it. But that's not the deal breaker it's more the grease and I even showed them, they agreed but no discount for their mistake. I don't care about that but it's more about the principal and to satisfy the customers. I could go to El Palenque on taco Monday pay .99 cents for a taco 2.49 for steak taco and 2.99 special margaritas and come out with a better deal than this plus complimentary chips and salsa.

I'm editing my review because the owner said stay home and not to spend money.. Hmmm how funny I paid my full balance without a problem and paid in cash so that saying I don't have an issue paying and like I said it's the principal to satisfy your customers and obviously you don't care about the customers nor their opinion to better yourselves. I have gone with people to El Palenque and have spent over $300 in one night and if this place was as good or better they would've gotten that from us so to let you know money is no issue. And as shown in the pic and to your employees don't tell me that's not a lot of grease and when your employees agreed how...

This place has been on my to-try list for a while. It's still very new and the menu is limited at the moment but I'm not going to hold that against them. When I walked in, I was surprised with how colorful and decorated this place is. They really went all out with making this place feel unique. I was welcomed with a sweet smile from the hostess and quickly taken to my seat. The menu is rather small but I decided on trying the enchiladas verdes. My dining partner got the chicken fajitas. The portions were of average size and quite filling. The Enchiladas Verdes had parmesan cheese on top, which is a bit eccentric but it adds a nice bolder cheese flavor. The waitress was quick and attentive but not hounding. Which is good because I dislike when waitstaff loom around the table. The fried ice cream is also quite lovely! It's certainly huge and good to share with friends! Over all, a nice experience. This place has a lot of promise and I genuinely hope it thrives.

Seen them driving by, so I stopped in to see what their tacos were about. There was no one in the restaurant, which was weird. I tried the trio taco dish. The carnitas that day were old and dried up, but she said it was just cooked in the am. But there's no way if the pork looked dark and dry. My steak and chicken tacos were delish, tho! But they dont put enough onions and cilantro on them. Seasoned very well, tho! I also tried a al pastor taco, and it was very good too! I like that they used regular size tortilla for the street taco, not the small ones that are 2 bites, lol. Now, I have to warn you about the bathroom. It's super small with a little toilet. Lol, it's weird. This place used to be a bar, so maybe that's why the bathroom is tiny and not meant for big ppl lol. I did try a margarita, but I really didn't like it, but it did get me buzzed, tho so I guess it was okay, lol. My mom loved the chorizo tacos. So I guess we gotta come back, lol 😆
