I’ve been here 5, maybe 6 times. Half the staff is solid. If you’re in a pinch and get the other half, beware. The Arab man will stand behind the counter and say the phone cases are $10 to the lady in front of you, and then tell you they’re $15. The older black phone repair man also does subpar work. The younger black kid, and Aaron, the black man with locks are solid and do good work. But they will tell you they’re don’t replace the adhesive that helps prevent your phone from water damage. They don’t hide it. But the reason for this review…
I brought my iPhone 14 Pro in for service, the battery life was below 80% and had just today made the screen pop out a bit from swelling. The Arab man said he had BOTH the battery AND the back glass and for me to be back in 1 hour. I asked about the specs on the new battery, he said it was not Apple but was 3500mah. The older black man opened my back glass and confirmed the Graphite color was in stock, and I went on my way for 45 min. Upon arriving back, he said he had both good and bad news. He said they did the back glass, but not the battery and to come back the next day. Long story short(er), I left w a broken phone. It would start up, and then within 20 seconds shut down and reboot. All while getting hotter and hotter. An issue I hadn’t come in with. Buyer beware , they charge no tax and give no receipt, w no warranty either. You will eat the cost of a new phone possibly.
If you DO get work done by them, PLEASE confirm they have ALL the parts you need replaced prior to giving the 👍, as well as NOT paying for the service prior to inspecting their work. Because you can and WILL be taken advantage of if you go here enough. That’s a fact. I’ve been the bystander while another customer voices their issues just like I did today.
If you can deal with Aaron, he will replace your camera lense for FREE if you just had it replaced like I had…
And If you deal with the Arab (never learned his name) he will overcharge you for something the person in front of you declined for the lower price.
The young kid does good work. Will tell you to check it when he’s done prior to payment. Just like a good tech should. Be informed, be aware who you do business with before it costs you hundreds, or $1k+.
In others reviews, they claim they install OEM batteries, while today they told me neither they, nor any other repair shop will be installing an Apple battery back into an iPhone so you’re able to monitor battery health. Yet they claim in this other review that they installed an OEM battery for free 4 months ago.. they didn’t use OEM battieries last year, the year before, or in 2021. Nor would they warranty their work (if it’s the Arab)
If you lie, your words have 0 value. You have probably a 75-80% chance of a positive experience. If you’re unlucky enough to be the other 20-25%, you’ll regret ever going.
But Aaron and the young kid are great. If you don’t see a young kid or a man with dreads...
Read moreThis is the first 1-star review I've ever had to write. Hopefully this review can prevent somebody from wasting their hard-earned money at Page 1 Wireless.
Needed a new phone for Cricket, owner shows me a few Verizon Phones. I ask about AT&T phones, as I am of the understanding that CDMA phones (Verizon, Sprint) don't work on a GSM network (AT&T, TMobile, Cricket). Contrary to everything I've read, he assures me that Verizon will work. He's in the business, so I take his word, and buy the phone for about 80% of eBay's price (good deal).
Phone call quality was unusable, no way to access voicemail, battery lasted 6 hours MAX, "Sim Card is not recognized by Verizon" notification every 10 minutes. I quickly realize that I had spent $150 on a phone that I couldn't use.
Went back a week later, spoke to the other owner, got slightly heated with him, then came to an agreement of original phone + $60 for a better AT&T phone. This phone works great.
I'm a tech-savy male and I'm not afraid to get confrontational when it's necessary (it was). If it wasn't for these two traits, I'd currently be stuck with a $150...
Read moreI looked up places on Google and called around multiple stores. Page 1 Wireless was not only the fastest in repair time but also the most cost-effective repair shop. They offer new cellphones, refurbished phones, headphones, cases, chargers, external batteries, and many other wireless gadgets. They sell movies and music CDs as well. The prices are decent and very attractive at times. The staff are beyond experienced and knowledgeable. Upon diagnosis, they know exactly what part needs repair and who long does it take. Other shops guesstimate the issues and charge you arm and legs for things you don’t need repaired. Unlike Apple store or other wireless shops where repairs are done in back rooms, repairs at Page 1 are completed before your eyes, live and unhidden. They are truly professional and fast in quality service. Apple Crocker park staff should come to Page 1 and learn a thing or two about customer service and repairs. The owner and his brother are friendly and very nice people to chat with. I highly recommend shopping at Page 1 Wireless for your wireless needs...
