HORRIBLE SERVICE!!!!! I work at a prescribers office and I called in order to clarify a prescription for a patient who is also an employee. Matt who stated he was the manager refused to help us. He was extremely rude and unprofessional. He refused to help me and constantly interrupted everything I was saying. He stated he would only like to speak to the prescriber who was busy with patients. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic we have an increase in patients and are constantly seeing patients. The nurses and medical assistants are authorized by the prescribers to clarify, refill and discuss issues regarding prescriptions. All this was explained to Matt however he constantly stated "Great" "Thats wonderful" and refused service unless he spoke to the prescriber who was busy at the moment. This is absolutely disgusting behavior. He also accused the staff of fraud which was unexceptional and absolutely unprofessional behavior. This man should not be a pharmacist, he is not qualified to be in customer service. His nonchalant attitude toward patient needs is absurd. I will no longer be doing business with Walgreens and I will be releasing more information including videos with voice recording of him being rude online and I will be sending more information...
Read morewhat ever girl worked on 2/24/25 around 9-10 am at the pharmacy answering phone calls you're horrible!! I called to check the status of my medication, I also added a note that it is not covered by insurance and to put in the coupon they usually put in for me. I called because on the website it said it was canceled so I called and asked why was it canceled she said we are just waiting for the auth from your doctors office, so I say oh sorry no I actually put in the notes NOT to put it in through insurance but they usually put in a coupon for me. she's like huh they do, I said yes, so I started to get a weird vibe from her so I asked wait how much would it be with the coupon... she said with an attitude, um with the coupon it is $1,250. I was STUNT I said wait that is with the coupon she said yes with the coupon, I SAID NO THANK YOU, I called Paterson pharmacy and they said 550 !!!!!!! so Walgreens keep an eye on your employees look you just lost 550 dollars...

After identifying myself as a physician, I offered to show my professional ID and asked the pharmacist Matt for a pad to write a script which is customary. He refused to let me do so and was being extremely condescending. He proceeded to tell me to call and leave a message in the voicemail "to have a recorded proof of the interaction".
I feel bad for all the patients and customers that have to interact with Matt. Some of them had the courage, time and motivation to write a review. The headquarters at Walgreens should train him on how to properly interact with people that for the most part are sick and walk in looking for compassion.
