Dear ATL NAILS Staff
I've been a customer of ATL nails now for about a year. I recently came in for services 2 days in a row, one day at 6:30 p.m. and one day at 6:25 p.m. and was turned away both times, with you saying that you all were no longer taking clients for the day. I didn't take it personally. I assumed I simply arrived too late. The third day in a row, which was a Sunday, I came by the salon around 2:30 p.m. I came in, signed in, and took a seat. I was then escorted outside by a gentleman on your staff who then told me that no one in the salon wanted to service me. I was extremely surprised to hear that, considering I love coming to this salon. I instantly thought back and asked him if maybe he had confused me with another customer. He said no, they referenced you as the lady who drives the yellow car. Well, I drive multiple yellow vehicles when I come there, so I knew that he was referring to me. I cannot think of a single time I visited that salon and I was rude, disrespectful, didn't like or appreciate my service, refused to pay, or had a problem with any nail tech that worked there. There is a lovely young lady who has told me on multiple occasions that she thinks that I am very picky, but I didn't think that it was offensive, to be specific about what I like. She's actually very talented and very creative, and I thought that asking her for particular nail art was simply testing her creativity. And each time, she gave me exactly what I requested. Not once did I ever intend to offend her in any way, nor did I think we had a bad relationship. I've had my nails done there by a younger gentleman twice, and I thought he was very cordial as well. I think in total, I received services from about five different nail techs. The two I mentioned, the gentleman that escorted me out once, the lady who sits by him once, and the older gentleman who always sits in the pedicure area. And not one time can I recall ever being unprofessional, rude, or disrespectful. I have liked my nails every single time. I've never complained to a single person in there about my services. And again, I can only recall me and the young lady discussing me being particular about my nail art, and I actually Love Her Work! But not once did I ever think I was offensive to her, and she didn't want to service me. I always commended her for her efforts, tipped accordingly, and loved them every time.
This experience truly hurt my feelings. As a small business owner of a local beauty salon for 25 years, I go above and beyond to spend my money with local businesses. It is not only important that I spend my money local, but I try my best to be consistent and loyal. My only off day is Monday, and that is the day that you all are closed. So often times it is hard for me to come in there on other days because we have similar working hours. As my birthday approaches, I especially wanted to get a full set and a pedicure here because I like your work the best. That is why I kept coming back. I leave for vacation in 3 days and was truly excited to finally have time to come here. But to now hear that you all were intentionally choosing not to service me is disappointing, hurtful and uncalled for.
I pray that you don't ever make anyone feel the way you made me feel today. In my 31 years as a hair stylist, I have always chosen customer service and professionalism above any circumstance and protected the clients interest to the best of my ability. Not one visit to your salon ever included a negative interaction with your staff, a complaint about service, a bad review, or a refusal to pay. I am totally disgusted and pray that your future clients never have to go thru this.
It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review on a small business because I realize the true impact of Google reviews as an entrepreneur. But now, looking at all of your other negative reviews, I guess something like this was bound to happen...
Read moreTerrible customer service here. The female nail techs will leave you with half finished acrylic nails if you take too long to pick a nail polish color or to pick a shape that you want them to file acrylic nails down to. They will have you pay for the full service halfway through doing your nails even after you tip your tech and then tell you to leave because you take too long to make up your mind. So be warned and make sure not to pay until they are all the way finished or else you'll leave with poorly half finished acrylic globs on your nails and If you ask for a manager or an owner they will tell you he's a very busy man with many businesses and that he doesn't visit the salon/spa because of how busy he is. They will say he's the only one that can refund people their money but according to the workers at ATL FANCY NAILS & SPA LLC the owner doesn't visit the facility due to being so busy with his other businesses therefore you can forget about getting back ANY type of money. They will perform your paid service's as fast as possible and if you don't like the work or take too long to make up your mind then they will kick you out with no refund, crazy half finished nails, and tell you there's no way to talk to anyone in charge about your services or situation. It's very risky considering personally seeing the unsanitary processes and procedures they use here. I definitely wouldn't recommend this place to anyone and I'm actually shocked they're still in operation due to all of the things I've seen here and how many people have actually had an issue with this place but had nobody to turn to about it.-...
Read moreI went to this nail salon for the first time today. The staff was friendly at first but there were only were only them. A third came in and apologized in advance because she had been to the dentist and had gauze in her mouth because of extractions. No problem there. I asked for gel polish and she began to paint my nails. The quality of the polish looked unprofessional and embarrassing. There was polish on and around my cuticle and the polish was uneven. I made mention of it midway, but it got worse. When she asked for the money I complained again about the quality of the job. The manager proceeded to take off my polish with her drill and complained. That I had waisted their time and resources. No apology for the terrible job that had been done, no acknowledgment that their employee may have been under the influence of a drug from the doctor, just a quick "go somewhere else". The young lady didn't apologize for her sub par work either and looked at me blankly as I left the building and said "I'm sorry for both of us, I must have caught you in the wrong day". I found out that she is a med student and a first year nail tech. Why is this relevant. Needless to say that our monies are just a means to her dream and she could care less about the quality she presents. We should no longer invest our hard earned monies to pay for the education and affluent lifestyles of many Asian American nail techs who care less about us if we complain and only want your money, not your business. If you think this is an isolated incident, why don't you complain and see what happens.# stopsupportingthem...
