I just wanna start off by saying I am a black male and I was so impressed with the customer service I received 2 Saturdays ago early afternoon. I came to shop here when they first moved across the street and I was unpleased with the lazy workers (black & American) and the rude management at the time. I Stopped going here but I decided to give it another try. I was so pleased with all the bargains I found that day! But what really astonished me was how all the staff was helping each other out to get the line moving. Helping move hangers out the way, opening new lines, putting returns away, everyone was so fast paced!! And yet they all were in good moods! No one was stressed everyone had a smile on their faces, even if it was rush hour! As a General Manager myself this really spoke out to me on how this shift was ran! They were all Latino (for good recognition) I will definitely start coming here more often. I loved how they all seemed to get along and have good sportsmanship! That’s was being a team is all about and it reflects the store! It was a few young men and maybe 4-6 ladies (older and younger) I hope to keep coming and seeing the staff show gratitude to customers and finding good deals! Thank you Ohio Thrift for the rebranding of employees and I hope you recognize the great team you...
Read moreI will no longer be shopping at this location due to its unprofessionalism and poor management, that my wife witnessed 2 weeks ago. While she was here, a man was loudly demanding a refund, disrupting everyone’s shopping, and creating a scene at the front of the store. The cashier made several attempts—at least three—to call for assistance, yet no one responded.
Eventually, the manager (an all American woman) was called, but she failed to appear for nearly 10 minutes. In the meantime, the lines grew longer, another issue with the registers arose, and only two checkouts were open. I cannot imagine what could possibly be more important than responding to the call and addressing a situation that was escalating and making customers feel unsafe.
The situation quickly worsened, leading to the man yelling at the manager and police being called. My wife was so uncomfortable that she abandoned her cart and left. This entire experience demonstrated a lack of leadership and professionalism that cannot be overlooked.
To be fair, I do want to commend the cashiers for continuing to do their jobs calmly despite the chaos, as well as the customers who remained composed and did not interfere. Unfortunately, the management at this location is clearly not capable of maintaining order or prioritizing...
Read moreA smaller thrift store but personally one of my favorites. It's pretty organized and I typically find a lot of clothing in my style: high waisted jeans (sometimes) , sweaters (men's and women's), quality t-shirts, button downs etc. For some reason they have the best selection of mens t-shirts I have ever found (nice brands/cool graphics/ witty sayings), sweaters are pretty great too. I can't say much about their house-ware except that the selection is not that large. There is literally another Thrift store across the street but it functions more like Plato's Closet with higher prices and a focus on designer items. Prices in this store are okay, there are cheaper Ohio Thrifts Ex) $8 for a designer sweater. Everyday certain tag colors get discounts, so always look out for that. The only major flaw is that there are no changing rooms, so wear leggings and a light shirt if you want to try...
