Aftershock Training is an incredible place to find peace, encouragement, and most importantly results. It blows my mind how such a well planned out efficient and effective workout can deliver such solid results! The gym is relaxed and I love the fact that I can find times to go see my trainer Sam Myers when it is less busy, I don't always want to be working out elbow to elbow with people like in most gym settings so this place is a breath of fresh air and absolutely perfect! In my opinion, Sam Myers is the absolute best part about Aftershock Training! He is the most encouraging and results oriented trainer I have ever worked with. Sam has been instrumental in getting me back on track after two back to back rounds of Covid hit me hard and took my health down for several months after. Sam did an incredible job of pushing me at just the right level to get my health and workout endurance built back up again including trimming down and building strength back that I had lost during the illness. In the past, I've been on the fence about hiring a trainer with questions like "How do I find a trainer that gets me?" "Will it even help or will I be throwing my money away?" Trust me, I have lived through a health transformation – Sam is worth every single penny. I love that it is a partnership with Sam, I show up and put in the hard work and he plans everything for me and provides the encouragement that I need to get through every tough session with smiles on both of our faces. Nobody should dread a workout and with Sam in your corner you never will. I look forward to my sessions with Sam every single week and that is no joke – I seriously do. Sam, I cannot thank you enough for changing my mindset on exercise, giving me a great experience with it but most importantly for changing my life for the better. Read moreIn Feb. after a good amount of weight loss, the need to build strength and a loss in motivation to work out after going strong for a year, I decided to put myself first and gave personal training a try! I wanted to find someone who would listen to my goals and needs, was fun, motivating, but someone who would also push me. I found that person in Sam! I thought I would try it for a few months and move on, but I stayed because I love it! I see results both physically and mentally! I look forward to my training sessions and I have come a long way since late February!!
Sam is genuine, passionate about what he does, wants success for everyone, is always changing up the workouts which keeps it challenging and fun and is one of the most positive people I know. Work can be stressful so I look forward to training days because I leave feeling refreshed, motivated to do more and a much better attitude than when I arrived.

Read moreI started working with Sam back in June 2024. At the time, I was back to struggling with my weight, making time for the gym, and not confident. I needed a change up and Sam has offered that to me. He is an incredibly uplifting, positive person who wants to see and help you meet your goals. The app he uses for workouts is incredibly user friendly. There are videos of him doing the workout so you know in real time how the move is performed, there is also an area you can log and keep up on your progress for each move. He is also very good at working with your schedule and if something comes up, getting a make up session set up. I've lost 24 pounds so far with a good diet and following the workouts Sam provides me (slow and steady wins the race). I have two sessions a week and always look forward to both of them. If you are willing to put in the work and effort in to yourself, I highly recommend Aftershock to anyone looking to reach their personal goals in the health and fitness area of their life....
