I went in for an evaluation. After two minutes, at the most, of seeing Dr Page with no medical history questions asked by him I was placed on the table for an evaluation as he stated, “let’s take a look”. Where a procedure was performed almost Immediately without my knowledge or consent which sent me into a medical episode of anxiety and unconsciousness. I climbed to the floor where the provider was condescending to me as I laid on the ground in a panic and informed me it was my fault for not letting him know of a condition I have. Although I had filled out all of the tablet check med history five minutes prior in the waiting room indicating that I did have a condition. I had no indication that anything other than “a look see” was to take place. This was my first consultation.
As I laid on the ground sweating profusely trying to keep myself conscious I still continued to ask the staff what was done to me as I had no idea. The provider left the room directly after scolding me and I was left with a nurse to “try” and help me. I guess Dr Page was too busy that day to deal w anything other than a quick look see. When I was able to get to a chair and calm down. I was finally handed a sheet of information by the Doctor, not discussed about what happened. Who downplayed the entire situation and sent me out of the room without even second-guessing putting me behind the wheel in the state I was in, they didn’t even feel the need to obtain a set of vitals. I have brought this situation to the provider and the manager (Maddison I believe, was more condescending than the provider and took over a week to get back to me for each phone call unless I stated in my message to her that I would call back every hour until I received her call and followed through) to which both of them see nothing wrong with their actions and have now provided me with a $400 bill for a procedure I didn’t agree to or have any information prior to being performed on me. And for an entire whooping visit of 30 minutes. Downright fraud.
Update: when I called to dispute The bill it took much discussion but was wiped and Two days later I received a letter in the mail stating I was being dismissed as a patient. Be your own advocate. I wish I had made more of an issue of this in the office at the time of the incidence because once you leave those doors you no longer have a say. And they...
Read moreI went in today for a colonoscopy, this would was the 2nd one I have had in my life. Everything was going good, the nurses were nice and fun to talk too. I did have to wait for the Doctor to arrive. The Doctor arrived and came in to the room wearing a summer jacket and me who he was, and basically told the nurse to start giving me meds to knock me out. Well, before I knew it I was awake and the Doctor was still doing the procedure. I was in so much pain and I told the people in the room that it was hurting really bad and to please stop. I then heard him telling me that I needed to relax, and I again told them I was in pain and it was hurting really bad, and again I was told to relax, I asked them again to stop. The next thing I recall was waking up and my wife telling me that they could not continue because I was not relaxing, needless to say I am furious! All that prep, and all the time that went in to this was done for nothing, just because they could not keep me knocked out, how the HELL are you going to relax when you are having severe pain like that? They recommended that I reschedule and have it done at the hospital and get it done under anesthesia and that was it and they told me I could leave. First thing I did when I got home was call my Doctor and tell her I was done and never getting this procedure done again and there was no way that I was going to go under anesthesia just for this, because the 2 times that I have been under anesthesia, they have had a heard time waking me up and my recover rate is long. I also want to add, that I was told they were very busy and the doctor had 15 colonoscopies to do that day, so I feel that's why they pretty much pushed me out of the place because I was taking too much time. My wife said when the Doctor talked to her, he pretty much blamed the failure on me, so again I was very upset! The Doctor who did this was Doctor O'Brien. He seemed like a nice guy and I am not saying stay away from him or anything like that, I am just telling you what happened to me, but as I said, I will NEVER have one of these done again and my Doctor was not happy with...
Read moreI had no idea what to expect. So please indulge me for a moment: You know how the unknown gives you anxiety? Well, I decided to just accept whatever they were going to do. My wife and I were greeted by a very nice young lady, I don’t remember her name, but she was very friendly. My nurse was Tara, came to get me shortly after signing paperwork. By the way-she is very good! She explained everything- you need to just listen. Seriously- just listen and take mental notes. She explained every step and everything she said happened. Then Amber came in and took me to the procedure room. She chatted with me the entire time keeping occupied, and at this point- it was a walk in the park. There was another nice young lady and a young man in the room helping set up. I can’t remember their names but I can tell you they had a great attitude. Dr O’Brian was going over my chart, he asked questions about how I feel and other symptoms. I received something to help me through the procedure ( I feel asleep) and that is it. I woke up a little woozy. But I still made it to made it to my daughters swim lesson so, not to bad! Folks- these Professionals do 60 scopes a day. You are in expert hands. I highly recommend these people that took care of me. Thank you for indulging me, and getting this far. If you’re needing a scope , this is the place to...
