An awesome night of rodeo that's fun for all ages!
This was my first time at a rodeo and we had a blast. Super family friendly. Non stop action with a sprinkle of laugh out loud comedy routines and jokes. I talked to a couple of experiences rodeo spectators at the event and they told me this was by far the most entertaining one they have been too.
Food and drinks are available for purchase. The menu is what you'd expect (hot dogs, bbq pork sandwiches, popcorn, etc). They serve a variety of soft drinks and alcoholic drinks. A gift shop is open before and after the event with t-shirts and other Cody Rodeo trinkets. You can also meet the rodeo clowns before and after the show.
During intermission they have a children's event were the kids can wrangle a ribbon off a gentle calf. So fun!
I highly recommend purchasing tickets at the gate or at the Cody Rodeo Stampede office in town (don't by online because there are extra fees). All the staff were super friendly and accommodating. Special thanks to the ticketing booth that helped me...

We had been told that there was a lot to do before hand but honestly we could have arrived 20 minutes before the rodeo started and been just fine. Confessions are well priced and have a good variety. Bathrooms are clean. The weather was all over the place and we were very thankful to have coverage from the rain. If bleacher seats are uncomfortable be sure to bring your own pad/seat. They do have them available for sale but they’re very pricing on site. We were in section B all the way to the side and did have a big pole blocking some of the view. Not terrible but...
Read moreRodeo is part of life here in Cody. One cannot visit this place without seeing or at least hearing about the rodeo. Go, see the rodeo, it is what we are famous for. Don't sit in the buzzer section, though. It is considered a place for the elite (more expensive tickets and there are backs on the stands), but take it from a frequent visitor, sometimes it is difficult to see the action of the bronc or bull riders because they don't go far enough away...
