We recently bought a new home and were in need of a loveseat & recliner for our small second living room. Furniture fair was near our house and was our 1st stop on our furniture shopping journey. We had never been here before. We walk in and notice how huge the store is, how much they have to choose from. We are greeted right away by Tiffanie. She asked questions to find out exactly what we were looking for and offered to help us look around and point us in the right direction. Tiffanie was very patient with us (Iâm very picky and was looking for something pretty specific, and my crazy boys were running around jumping on all the furniture as we were trying to speak đ). She showed us several different options that fit what we were looking for and saved me a lot of time by not having to walk around the entire store searching for what she was able to show us right away. She discussed different financing options with us and we were able to find one that fit our budget and needs. I felt like she really wanted us to be happy with our purchase and that she actually cared. She was very sweet. We ended up purchasing a loveseat and recliner like we wanted and she said it could be delivered on Tuesday! (This was Saturday so we were very pleased with the speed). Tuesday comes, furniture fair called beforehand to make sure we were home. I donât know the delivery drivers names but they were fabulous! Super friendly, nice to my kids. They carried the furniture up my front driveway (that has a huge hill might I add) and into my home. The loveseat was perfect ! The recliner we noticed was a little wobbly and didnât rock at all (it was supposed to be a rocker/recliner). We informed the delivery men there was something wrong with the recliner and they looked at it and agreed. They called furniture fair right away, told them the problem, and told us they would bring another one out the following Tuesday, not to worry. They took the broken one away. The following Tuesday came, again they called before hand to make sure we were home. They delivery guys once again were very friendly, professional and nice to my kids. They made sure the rocker/recliner functioned perfectly and that I was happy with all the furniture placement before they left. Overall we love our furniture !!! We had a wonderful experience throughout the whole process & will definitely be back! Thank you Tiffanie & furniture fair...
Read moreThey didn't fair too well. The salesman made a quick and easy sale because I already did the legwork and research on the exact setup we required for our space. We purchased a nice sectional from Furniture Fair after doing our due dilagence and having the manager complete a price match as they have quite the high markup. A few days later I picked up the boxed sectional from the Cold Spring location from a young Marine that couldn't have been any nicer, thanks. I came home to install the sectional only to find a bracket wasn't installed from the factory making the couch unusable. I called my salesman...thinking he would have interest in making sure my fully purchased product is in working order...he had little to no interest in the issue and sent me to Customer Service, a lady answered and she informed me that she knew what part I was talking about and she would call me back in 30 minutes with a plan. A day passed and no phone call was returned. I called the salesman again thinking for sure he would take interest knowing my issue still wasn't take care of...nope he transferred me again to Customer Service and a guy answered requesting me to send him pictures as the lady didn't keep notes of me calling yesterday. I rushed home to insure a quick turnaround and sent in pictures. He received the pictures, as I confirmed via phone call. Similar story he said he would call me tomorrow after talking to the workshop. A week passed and still no phone call back. I took it into my own hands and contacted the manufacturer located in Mississippi. Friendly staff at the manufacturer answered and was able to mail me the bracket in a timely manner. I installed the bracket and pocket bolts. I thought the Furniture Fair management team might want to know about this ordeal and make good on it or issue an apology etc... The Manager I spoke to gave me the usual hub bub about we'll learn from the situation. I for sure didn't need an apology but I walked away thinking wow the guy didn't give my troubles much thought. It's a shame as were in the market for an additonal couch now and Furniture Fair won't be factored into the scenario. Were a young family that has purchased multiple pieces over a 13 year span from Furniture Fair and they've now eliminated themselves from future sales. Buyer Beware, Customer Service sure isn't what...
Read moreWe initially visited the Cold Spring, KY Furniture Fair Store location where Tricia caught up with us as we browsed the store. (Our family is moving to that area and I was told by a co-worker who dabbles in interior design as a side job that Furniture Fair had quality items at reasonable prices). Tricia spent about an hour with us looking for various pieces we needed to complete our house. At no time did we feel like she was pressuring us like those greasy salespeople at other furniture stores where we used to live in Michigan. The selection there was so good she showed us a few items I thought I couldn't get the in configuration I wanted, and as a bonus they weren't cheap pre-fabricated furniture but Amish solid wood construction! Tricia mentioned that a few times a year they have their Warehouse Sale and one was coming up in Fairfield, OH in a few days, which she encouraged us to attend. We had planned on returning to MI to get some house things settled, but on her recommendation stayed until Sat and hit the Furniture Fair location âon the way homeâ. Tricia was working there that day (I guess they assign their Salespeople in rotation when they have these big warehouse events) and she again showed us through the vast selection of markout items going through our checklist. Again, no high pressure but a sincere desire on her part to help us with what we thought fitted our new house. The stars must have aligned for my wife and me that day because we found almost all the pieces we needed as âas-isâ pieces and spent about $6k on items that normally have cost twice as much. Keep in mind what they call warehouse seconds sometimes may have scratches or very slight imperfections. In all cases these imperfections were so slight it was nothing that bothered us. (We have huskies & tween children frolicking about so furniture wear is expected). The items we purchased new were still in the very reasonable price range, especially with the 10% discount they give if you pay by cash/check. Overall it was a perfect experience, except for a small hiccup at the end where the check processing machine rejected our check and we had to run to Chase for cash (we normally donât write checks, so it had something to do with that). Will...
