After quite a few very disappointing experience's with alterations I was loosing my confidence in finding a "home" that would be able to alternate my clothing in a satisfying way until I decided to give it another shot at Clothes to Home in Bechtelsville, PA. I am a person of short stature (also know as achondroplasia, dwarfism) and to shop -let alone alterations- for clothing is quite the adventure. Close before Christmas I found Clothes To Home on-line and after reading a lot of reviews I decided to give it a go. That was the BEST decision in a long time I made. I was welcomed there in a way that was very very warm and almost felt right away like family. I was welcomed by Angie in such a way that I knew, I had found the right place and that all the good ratings I saw on-line made perfectly sense to me. I also knew that I would be taken seriously and that I would be taken care of with all my concerns/problems. I learned during my first visit as well that Clothes To Home has experience with altering clothing for people like me which for me was a huge bonus. I made an appointment 2 weeks before Christmas for a fitting. I could tell right away by the way I was treated I was taken seriously and that every detail was taken into consideration to get my clothing ready to the perfect fit. I was told that most likely my clothing wouldn't be ready before Christmas because of them so busy with alterations and I was fine with that because clothing that fits me so well was way more important to me. Well, another surprise came my way as they actually finished all my clothing right before the holidays so that I was able to wear it already then! Once at home I tried on everything they alternated for me and needless to say that every piece fit like it was made for me (which it actually was!). Everything taken into consideration it is needless to say that buying clothes and getting it alternated is NO LONGER a problem anymore for me and I can say I will be a customer for LIFE. Thank you Angie for your warm welcome and thank you for doing all you did to make this happen. For a lot of people it is the most normal thing in the world to buy clothes.......for me, unfortunately a little bit more trouble is involved. That trouble I don't have to worry about now anymore. And with a very reasonable price I was charged for all the hard work I couldn't be happier. I can’t say enough good things about Clothes to Home. I went here in June to have my bridesmaid dress altered for an August wedding. Angela (who I believes owns Clothes to Home) and Bobby (the seamstress, sorry if I’m spelling her name wrong), were always kind and pleasant whenever I called. Bobby did a great job hemming my dress, and I appreciated her being up front about the cost, and the guarantee that it wouldn’t go over the printed amount on my receipt when I did my first fitting with pinning. My dress was ready on time and laid nicely floating just above the ground like Bobby said it would. On the day I picked up the dress, Angela helped me with the final fitting, and I joked to her that I’m glad the dress fit since I found out I was expecting the month prior.
