A new âownerâ took over. Many of the tanning beds have rust. I mentioned the level one bed that was the worst and she stated in her email that she would be fixing it, that she âordered partsâ but when I went in, she had taken very cheap white paint and painted over the rust and neglected to take the dirt and hair off before she painted so now itâs all stuck in the paint.
The electrical outlet I complained about that was so rusty had the plate replaced and the wire changed as it looked like it was going to cause a fire.
The stand up beds have holes in the doors all over the place.
The entry doors on the lay down bed rooms donât close properly in some rooms and have holes where the purse hook should be.
The seats in the rooms have been there since the salon opened about two decades ago. Cannot imagine how unsafe they are.
Further, my membership continued to not work and each time I went in, I had to give them my card number. This has happened three times now.
The worst, I mentioned that I was not comfortable going in the rusty beds so I had the option of moving to a non rusty level two bed for a few times until this âfixâ was complete. Iâm 200 pounds and I have had three hip replacements since 2021. The level two beds did not pinch my body in and didnât force my hip to squish in a way that is painful for me. I mentioned that I did not fit in the level one beds anymore since I gained the weight that I have since my accident. This was her cold and rather callous response:
âI understand that you are more comfortable in the level 2, but club members already get a discounted price for the upgrade, so I am not sure what better option we would be able to come up with.â
Her response had nothing to do with understanding my handicap nor my weight. It was about money!! I even offered to show her, shamefully and embarrassingly, when Iâm there that I cannot fit in them and thatâs her response? She has been very cold and callous with me since taking over the business and needless to say, Iâm very unhappy about the new ownership. Having a handicap is hard enough.
It feels like this salon makes it feel like handicapped and overweight people shouldnât even want to tan. That hurts. Iâve been going to this salon since it opened and I loved going there over the years so much but Morgan makes this salon feel very judgmental and cold.
The better business bureau was involved to sort this out and Morgan stated that overweight and handicapped individuals simply pay for the higher priced beds without complaining. That is shocking. I very much doubt that she has any overweight and/or handicapped clientele that specifically asked for bigger beds due to weight and blindly agreed to pay a higher membership price. There must be an option for handicapped individuals and individuals that are overweight and physically cannot fit in the level one beds where the door cannot shut without paying a higher price!
Handicapped and overweight individuals: this is not the salon for you.
Morgan stated that Iâm not able to return to the salon for bringing my concerns to her attention and trying to find an amicable solution. This person treated me extremely poorly and this is an injustice. Cannot believe that she has such a flippant and unkind behavior and âownsâ a salon that requires consistent customer interaction. Iâm positive she will go out of business if she continues this behavior. Never had an issue since the salon opening two decades ago and all of the sudden when a new âownerâ takes over, my membership is terminated due to raising my concerns to her and trying to find a solution to the issue! Handicapped individuals deserve solutions that work for them!!!
She recently stated that she got an attorney involved because I complained and asked for different pricing, and because I wrote a review that she didnât like. And further, threatened litigation. Be sure not to complain or write a bad review or youâll be threatened and denied entry! Iâve been going there for two decades and owning it for a year, I cant go....
Read moreMaybe the business is okay , but I know quite a few people that will not go there bc of a certain employee. An employee that likes to go around threatening people, and has done this her whole life . As for me she posted that I dont deserve children nor do I deserve my husband . She said all this after my husband and I lost 2 of our babies .. one was still born and the other was an ectopic pregnancy that almost killed me . It was 3 months after we lost our last baby that she decided to write all this and more on a public forum. All bc she , as usual, doesn't understand that there are 2 side to every story ... and as usual, she runs her mouth without knowing any facts . Until she no longer works there I would not recommend going , she may threaten u or share ur personal information with her " friends ". If u have lost a child , know ur dealing with a person who will try to use that against u , know that she doesn't care about about...
Read moreThe staff was great. Very knowledgeable and friendly. The booth was clean and neat. The spray tan itself, however, was just ok. I did as instructed and let it dry completely before getting dressed and did not get my skin wet, however, it still streaked. I'd still go back. I'd stick to the tanning beds...
