Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Colebrookdale Township

Coming here to vent on how AWFUL Papa Johns is on Route 100. My mom has always ordered from Papa Johns before it was sold to whomever NEVER had issues.

Tonight we placed an order at 6:26pm for delivery and going to pay with cash. Said it would be here by 7:11pm. No biggie. 7:30pm comes around still no delivery. My mom tries to call off her phone “press 5 for the manager” pressed 5 “the number is not in service”. Okay weird… she calls back again presses 3 to place an order. “the number is not in service”. Okay… so I call off my phone. I’m able to get through to “place an order” I speak with a male first and explain the situation and he says he’s going to transfer me to the manager, I explained it’s not in service and he still transferred me and I got the same message. So I call them back and I get a female this time. I explain we ordered over an hour ago and it was supposed to be delivered and it hasn’t. She says “I’m not at that location” and I questioned her because I called the number off google for the local Papa Johns and she proceeds to tell me she is in the Philippines!? Excuse me, Im sorry…. but I am calling the Philippines for Papa Johns now!? She said she tried calling over to the location and it was saying it was not in service as well and all she could see was that the order is out for delivery….. but I told her it wasn’t because the automated system said it was going to be delivered in -1 minutes. (Not sure how that is possible). I told her to cancel the order, we were no longer interested.

8:10pm comes around and doordash shows up on my moms door. I explained to him we told them we wanted to cancel. And he said he was never told that. Since I used to doordash I asked if he has to pay with his red card(since we were paying cash) and he said he didn’t pay there for anything and the doordash app says he was to collect cash from us and that was it.

We did end up paying him, because I told my mom he wouldn’t get paid then. But if it was Papa Johns we would of told them to get lost.

We will never order there again....

This was the very first time I've tried this particular Papa John's Pizza establishment. I absolutely enjoy the papa John's franchise pizzas and their extras. However, this particular Papa John's completely screwed up my order, and it was a simple XtraLarge pizza. Half plain cheese and half Hawaiian. I walked in to pick up and received the pizza, unfortunately, not checking it before I got home. The pizza was correctly ordered and taken over the phone, and the tag on the box was correct as well, but when I opened it up with my surprise, it was without the pineapple. The funny thing was when I picked it up, the gentlemen just handed me the pizza, but I hadn't paid for it. So I told them I didn't pay for it before I walked out. He rang me up, and It was paid. Nothing was said to me either about the pizza. Normally, I wouldn't care, but I paid for it in cash, expecting what i ordered. I called immediately after I opened it, and I was on hold listening to their phone recording for 35-45 minutes, and believe me, they weren't that busy. But I still haven't spoken to anyone 😕 at the time of this review. Well, of course my children and i ate it because it's 7 pm and later in the evening. I'm just not too happy. Thinking that they screwed up making it, which is understandable, mistakes happen, no big deal but they weren't honest enough to tell me that they forgot the pineapple when he just handed it to me without paying. But still, I paid for an order that was not to my satisfaction. They could have just told me it was on the house because of a simple baking mistake. Please let me warn you away from this store. I used to order from this location at least once a month. Great for those nights as a parent that you just don't have the will to cook after a long day at work. Then a few months ago I had an issue where I had to go to the store myself to pick up my "delivery" after almost a 2 hour wait. I had to tell them to refund me their ridiculous 5 dollar delivery fee & the tip that was also charged to my card. I took the order home to find one pizza under cooked, one toasted to a crisp, and neither cut into slices. Oh and the extra peppers and cinnamon bites I ordered? 3 orders of peppers = 3 total peppers, at their ridiculous 2$ or whatever per order. The cinnamon bites had no icing, no dipping sauce, just... balls of over baked dough. So here I sit, months later. Extremely tired with two hungry children. So I decide to risk it because this place used to be reliable. One more try. At least nothing was charred (only a bit under done), but nothing like unsliced pizzas, garlic knots that are just dry balls of over baked dough, and a giant cookie that doesn't seemed properly cooked to really make your over priced dinner worth it. Stay FAR away. I know I will from here on out. I can only hope that their franchise is revoked and/or they are forced to give it to someone else who actually...
