BUYER BEWARE! I will never step foot in this place again nor recommend anyone go here. My fiancé at the time worked with the owner Waguih and Corrin to have my custom engagement ring made to match very clear pictures he brought in. The ring turned out to be similar, but there was a big difference on two of the sides that didn’t match. The part however I’m disgusted about is both of them playing along with my ex that the stone was a real Moisanite stone when I was in there with him to talk about getting the setting changed. The only reason I found out it wasn’t real and pretty much just a glorified CZ was because I had it appraised later on by a reputable jeweler I’ve known. In shock, I took the ring to Luxor and spoke with Corrin. She remembered me since it had only been several weeks. I asked for an appraisal on it, she was all sorts of flustered and asked me to come back later to pick up the appraisal (she ended up calling my fiancé to discuss what she should do - how sketchy is that!!!?). She also would not admit nor deny it was a Moisanite stone which I thought was very odd. When I picked up the appraisal she seemed as if she was delivering awkward/disappointing news and she was correct, she had to admit per the appraisal that the stone is NOT a Moisanite stone. I never got to speak with Waguih and nor do I care at this point, but I asked her why both she and Waguih spent 20 minutes with my fiancé and I talking about the moisointte stone and teaching me all about Moisoinnite stones because I had never heard of them! She said they went along with what my fiancé told them the stone was because he brought it in to them. That is WRONG!!! She also tried to tell me you can’t determine a stone is real Moisanite without the original paperwork and that is an outright lie (a lie I learned she and my (ex)fiancé drummed up on the phone to be on the same page). I called my REPUTABLE jeweler and told him what Corrin said and he said that was absolutely not true and that he would gladly testify in court as an expert against that. Luxor Custom Jewelers credibility is ruined in my mind! I...
Read moreBelieve all of those 5 star reviews written about Luxor Custom Jewelers. I was actually blessed enough to be given the opportunity to take my bench Jewelers apprenticeship there back in 2004. They can pretty much create anything you want they haven't army of Jewelers working in the back constantly and they only hire The Best of the Best. They are not one of those Custom Jewelers or repair shops that cuts corners by any means they get the job done right and they get it done right the first time. I am forever indebted and grateful to the owner Waguih Guirguis. For if it wasn't for his kind offer to allow me to take my apprenticeship there I wouldn't be the Jeweler I am today and I owe him all of the credit for giving a young 22-year-old an opportunity way back when. I now live in Austin and really need to get back up there to go visit everyone. But if it's not Waguih who you are working with directly Corrine and the rest of the sales staff are all amazing people and do not pressure you into anything. I wouldn't recommend anywhere else except Luxor if you're in the DFW area. Thank you Waguih for all you did for me all those years ago I promise to get up there as soon as I can and pay you a visit just to say hello. God...
Read moreHave bought several pieces of jewelry from here for over seven years. Recently took my wedding set in to be worked on. We no longer live in Texas but we were back visiting so took them in for repairs. Picked them up, they looked great. I was at the airport the next morning and noticed one of the sapphire stones missing. I called and was told to return with it and they'd look at it. I had to mail it back to them since I was flying home. Mailed it back and was told one of the prongs was missing. But I had just gotten it back less than 24 hours, why wasn't this noticed while it was getting worked on? Was told they would replace the prong, but I would be responsible to pay to replace the sapphire. Not pleased, but needed it repaired. Told them to check all the prongs and they ended up replacing three more, on their dime. When it was repaired told me the total, and I'd have to pay half the shipping, even though I paid $40+ to ship it to them and didn't ask them to help pay. Shipping was $32 and I paid $25 of it. Not the kind of math I learned. Also, sent the ring back in the original box, and the repair came back to me in a cardboard box. 🤨 Since we have moved, we'll start using a...
