I am truly surprised by the glowing reviews this place received. The food here are extremely inauthentic and watered down. We came to this place on a Sunday morning because they are one of the few places that opened for dine-in. Seeing the great reviews that they have, we were hoping for a much better experience only to be let down. We ordered a bowl of pho, two shaken beef and a boba tea. The pho was extremely bland. The soup was not made using beef broth I can tell you that! There wasn't any veggies that came with it. As basic as it could be. The two shaken beef, well, same thing. Beef was extremely bland, probably cooked with only salt and pepper, no extra ingredients applied-as inauthentic as it could be. Beef was soft but still kinda chewy. Many places can make beef much tastier and almost melt in your mouth. The fish sauce was super sweet and doesn't taste like fish sauce at all! Again, inauthentic and watered down. Thai green tea with boba, exact same thing. not enough flavor.

When we ordered food, my girlfriend tried to ordered in Vietnamese (She only speaks English) and the Vietnamese server bluntly said "I don't understand anything you've just said." She wasn't rude or anything, but the way she said it gave me a bad impression from the get go. My girlfriend was just trying to be friendly and was met with a blunt, unfriendly response.

Overall, I guess we weren't their targeted clientele. We were looking for an authentic Vietnamese experience and My Lan wanted to serve a "softer, less exotic" version that appeals to every American; which, frankly, does not make any sense. If you are looking for a true Vietnamese cuisine experience, trust me, go somewhere else. You...

Quite possibly the best Vietnamese food I've had in a long time. And I'm Vietnamese. I had the noodle bowl with grilled pork, egg roll, and shrimp tofu. Had no idea what shrimp tofu was, but it became my favorite thing. It's in block form like tofu and fried, but it's made of shrimp. The flavor is just delicious! I loved my whole bowl.

My husband got the pork chop rice plate and devoured it. It was also delicious.

We're going back tonight to try other dishes, so may update this review soon.

I also got the green tea guava boba drink.

Everything was super affordable. I can't believe they don't charge more. The place got full and it was a Wednesday night.

We went back tonight and again had a delicious meal. My husband got the rice plate with the same meats I got yesterday in the noodle bowl (grilled pork, egg rolls, shrimp tofu). He loved it. I got the combination pho and it was perfect. I also got the Thai Tea with boba and grass jelly.

A 10ish year old kid and father behind me got the shrimp fried rice and I could hear the kid keep saying how much he liked it all through the meal.

I looked around the restaurant and there were all smiles as people were eating. Again, it was super affordable. Two meals and a boba drink for $31 which included tax. I tipped 30% because the staff was so nice and helpful. Give them grace when the place is packed. They really work...

Been to the original location multiple times, so of course I had to try this new location, since itโ€™s closer to my house. We ordered: Thai tea, fried shrimp tofu with sugar cane shrimp with sticky rice noodle, flake steak pho and vermicelli with egg rolls, grilled pork and fried shrimp tofu. The flake steak pho was on cue with the broth, full of flavor, fatty goodness and full body. The flake steak was thinly slice and tender. The fried shrimp tofu with sticky rice was delicious and fried to perfection. The shrimp tofu was unique and carry the sweetness of the cane shrimp in it. The vermicelli bowl was huge! It was big enough and full of protein that it could problem feed 2 people. The grilled pork was tasty, with flavor of probably grilled meat that has been marinated. The same wonderful shrimp tofu is included in this also. The fried egg rolls were a wonderful compliment to the dish. You would drizzle the fish sauce on top to your liking- same with adding the garlic red chili sauce in it. Overall the dishes were on point with flavor and quality. The staffing were not quite on cue yet to handle a busy rush yet, as we came at 6ish on Saturday and they were kind of overwhelmed. That will hopefully improve with time and management guidance. Will definitely come back...
