Memphis Brow Girl — Local services in Collierville

I went to Memphis Brow Girl (LaConda) because I have very sensitive skin and a lot of places prefer waxing to plucking. I arrived and was laying on the table and after some initial plucking I was informed that she was going to tint my brows (I am a natural blonde), and I protested. I had not agreed to it and emphasized how much I didn't like makeup on my brows and how I never thought it looked good. Memphis Brow Girl was really insistent and bullied me into trying it saying that she could lighten them if I didn't like them.

Then she proceeds to tint my lashes and finish shaping my brows. It was EXTREMELY painful. She was extremely heavy handed. My eyes burned from the lash tint. And she used straight rubbing alcohol on and around my brows. She wiped often and really hard.

I get one look at my brows and hate them. She made me feel awful for asking for what I wanted and was not open to my suggestions about taking a little more off of my eye brows to make them even. I ended up taking the tweezers and plucking them myself!

On my way out, I'm in pain and frustrated with my brow color, and she has the nerve to ask another client what they think about my brow color. It was humiliating and inappropriate.

I got home and tried to get used to the color but I hate it. I ended up texting her to ask for home remedies to lighten them but she offered for me to come in and get them lightened. That was great! But my under brow where she used the harsh alcohol was really painful and I didn't want the bleach to make it worse.

I woke up the next day with the skin under my eye brows scabbed and extremely painful. I can't even cover them with makeup!

I messaged her to ask for a refund of my $9 tip and my brow service and she refused to refund my tip but did refund my brow service. She was extremely rude, and was lagging in getting back to me. She blamed me for my skin reacting poorly to RUBBING ALCOHOL!

If you have tough skin or you're okay with someone else dictating the exact style and color of your brows, then go for it. But I had a really negative experience.

I want to give a honest review of my services LaConda did her due diligence to make sure I knew all I needed to know about getting my skin back on track without just telling me ok to something just because I wanted it she was honest about what I needed which is rare in today's society and alot of businesses sadly enough.She gave me her knowledgeable advice and let me make the choice .I choice a chemical peel plus the skincare regimen I need for day/night to bring my skin back to life which i desperately needed and tint/shape of my eyebrows that I didn't even realize naturally could look as good as she made them look .Did I mention after all of that in a very comfortable environment with a hiccup with my bank she never wavered she patiently waited until that issue was handled all while reminding me about my skincare regimen because she knew I was new to this and at the moment upset seeing I needed to pay her as well as a very important weekend for my twins lol she helped me in more than one way without her knowing it.I felt like I've known her forever ,she 's a gem.And to boot she has already followed up with me to see if I'm staying on track with everything !What more can I say but I'm definitely excited about my next visit in two weeks I can't wait to show her I'm on task and for her to see the progress of her work I can already see...

Honestly I was excited walking in but it slowly faded as I felt I was rushed to lay down without her fully understanding what I was looking for.. she said she can only work with what I got… she started tweezing and completely gave me what I wasn’t looking for 😞 I’m an male and she gave me thin arched eyebrows like an woman, yes they are nicely done but they are an women’s shape.. it said male brows on her service list so I assumed she knew not to remove so much hair.. the “Tint” she applied literally did nothing I honestly rubbed my brows with and paper towel to see if any this was tinted and nothing appeared that’s after she did two applications, cherry on top she charged me $60 dollars! I paid it because I knew she would cause a scene or call police if I argued prices with it states 20 for shaping and 20 for tint.that’s equals $40 I guess she added and 20 tip ?!
