Southern hospitality. Well as a transplant to the South, I can't tell you the number of times I shook my head in irony about just how inhospitable people can be. And I had essentially kissed goodbye to kind service at a restaurant, but I was genuinely blown away by what I found at Duck donuts on Houston Levee. We ordered donuts, which were prepared quickly and when we sat down, a kind woman immediately asked us if she could get us some plates and some waters. The gentleman who then brought my coffee immediately said if I didn't like it, he'd make me another one. Before I even tried it! Then I tasted the food and beverage, and both were great! I cannot say enough good about this business! Our organization had planned to have an ice cream truck for a concert event, but the bad weather caused the truck to cancel at the last minute. I panicked. A search on YELP, brought up few choices. Then I found Duck Donuts and saw good reviews. I called. Spencer, the owner, said, “YES! I think we can do that for you today!” And he did.

With just a few hours notice, Duck Donuts provided ice cream and donuts for our community venue all the way out in La Grange, TN. They were so friendly and made the whole experience fun! The donut sundaes were fabulous, and served with a smile! Thank you to the Lane family and Duck Donuts for pulling this party together so fast. You are our heroes! This was our first visit to duck duck donuts in Collierville, and it is a bright and cheery stop. Really like the atmosphere and the colors. They even have a little area for kids to watch the donuts being made. Very welcoming environment. The service was prompt though it does take a few minutes to cook the donuts because they are made to order. There is the option to order online as well. The donuts themselves are more of a cake fried batter and are quite tasty.
