There’s an dark skin older lady, most likely in her 60s, with braids that barely attach to her scalp; who smells like a mix of good perfume and body odor. She is very rude passive aggressive, and snarky. She works as cashier. I went in for the first time ever today and I was nothing but nice, courteous and cordial with her. There were a lot of things I wanted to check out from behind the counter, and at first she was willing to help. But she then caught an attitude and said “I need to do other stuff and I can’t do the other stuff because you’re keeping me behind the counter.” Even through all of that I never raised my voice or was rude to her. I killed her with kindness the whole way through because you never know what people are dealing with. But I was thoroughly unpleased and taken aback by her energy and her customer service. To take it a step further, upon check out, I was standing behind an older gentleman who was helping me with some clothing tips for my job interview on Monday. Next thing I know she getting smart with him in a similar way she was getting smart with me. The only reason I’m giving this place two stars is because the heavier set snickers colored manager lady was very nice, understanding and patient with me. Please remove that old lady from behind the counter please before she catches someone who will give her the same treatment she...
Read moreI am an avid Thrift shopper, typically I'll stop doing Salvation Army anytime I see one. This Salvation Army however I try very hard to avoid. For some reason many of the items seem drastically overpriced and much of the clothes and Paramount for their products are already worn through what past the end of their useful life. Store has a smell, it's always present and skunky.
I've never received good customer service here, will I stopped and recently the woman who was acting as cashier made it clear she was being inconvenienced check me out, and then decided to pick up one step further and decided to make things difficult after informing me she was incapable of moving the plastic sheet just a few inches count the number of items I bought, all of them were the same and the same price and that I should have automatically known or I needed to put the items so they would be convenient for her to check out, without ever once having told me where that was. I was nothing but polite and professional the whole time I was in the store, every time I'm here the employees always seem inconvenienced to help or do much of anything and always have an attitude. I always want to give this store another chance, and I always hope it will be better, but no matter how long between my vision never...
Read moreI have been going to this location for years but lately I am taken back on the over the top pricing. Dollar store items that are priced at 2.99 and 3.99, and coats marked as high as 99.99, higher than many retailers where you are buying brand new. It has caused me to put many items right back in the shelf where they belong. Because of my job I frequent a Salvation Army store on Union Deposit Road in Harrisburg. The prices there have always been reasonable and they have a good selection of merchandise. It's well worth the road trip. This update is as of 12/2022. I'm permanently removing this location as a place to shop. All of their pricing is off the roof and in several instances exceed some regular price retail establishments. Used Sweaters for $14.99. That's price gouging and even on 50% off day I will no longer support this...
