SUPERCUTS — Local services in Colorado Springs

Stopped by on Wednesday at opening hoping this would be our new, convenient place for kids cuts. While some of the issues we faced were understandable (under staffed: only one person to cut and answer the phone and take walk-ins) the other issues were not okay.

First off, the woman we saw was really rough with my son, pushing his head around and not responsive to things like hair getting in his eye.

On top of that, she asked me a question about the cut and when I answered I got a whole rude lecture about how long she’s been cutting hair, that she’s almost 63 and knows how to do her job, etc etc. I had to tell her I wasn’t questioning her skill, I was literally answering the question she asked about the length. She kept at it which definitely did not help my kid stay calm, just added tension to the situation. She then tried to say she remembered me when we have never been to this location before.

Finally, this place is a mess. For example, I dropped a water bottle on the floor in the waiting area and when I picked it up it was covered in hair. We were the second customer, that wasn’t new hair.

I am giving one star as the cut was a good cut by the end but we are not coming back to this location. I’d rather drive further for some nice people than get lectured and make haircuts an...

So I figured a haircut place is a haircut place.. I didn't need anything fancy but my girlfriend's skill limit is clippers and we can't do a fade easily with it. I go in and ask for a #2 on the side and faded to a 1.5 inch on top. At first cut, she leaves it at about 3 inches on top. I ask for more off. She then cuts it again and I feel the front for the length and it is good enough. I know I'll trim a bit when I get home. I pay and go home and start checking it out. Wow.. It is so awful that I am astonished!! I have never had such a bad haircut before. The top varied from about an inch in the very top center of my head surrounded by a crown of 2.5 inches length of hair. The fade was very jagged looking. Once my girlfriend got home, we decided just to take the clippers to it since I didn't want to go back. Worst haircut I've ever gotten. There is an older blond woman who works there, apparently fresh out of school (something I wasn't told until she had already started cutting my hair). I don't recall her name. I checked in 5-10 minutes after 5pm with one person in a chair and nobody else in front of me. I didn't leave until 7pm. They screwed up so bad that before I even said anything they told me they weren't going to charge for my haircut. I have a spot on the left side of my head that is nearly bald, they took off WAY too much on top and screwed up the hairline above my neck so bad they had to use a shorter attachment to try and fade it in; all this after I showed them 4 different pictures, twice. I can't even use a baseball cap to cover this up. I've used supercuts plenty of times but this was my first visit at this location and I'm never taking my business...
