The Nails Studio — Local services in Colorado Springs

I hate doing this but I’m hoping by leaving this review they will improve since it’s such a new business! Starting out they took me in the same day which I appreciate so much! The shop was super cute, clean, and in a great location! The nail techs were also super sweet and offered me a drink and even some little snacks (the grapes were amazing). My nail tech Maria seemed to be a little annoyed with me. I picked out a color that were on the sample nails and she let me know it is sheer. She said it looks good on the sample nail because it’s a white base so I asked if we could do 1 coat of white on my nails before the color, she insisted I pick a new color. She also let me know since my nails are thin it may start lifting earlier. I was charged for a gel manicure which I do not mind but I did not receive hot towels or a massage. I asked Maria and she let me know since I got my nails shaped it is considered a manicure even though a gel change on the website says it includes it without a manicure. I think they should update that on the website if it is true. My nails are super rough towards the ends and the polish is a little messy. I will say my nails are pretty short so it was hard to get a good shape. I will possibly try out this shop again in the future because I have heard great things so maybe it just...

My first time going to this salon and I was excited. I had an appointment and didn’t even wait very long. I was taken back I showed what I wanted and the process started. We had a conversation and it was fine. I started to notice some things I didn’t like. First thing I noticed was I was able to see parts of my real nail after the acrylic was put on. I mentioned this to her and she said she would add more nail polish. I figured I’d give her the change to fix. Nope didn’t work because I could still see my real nail on several nails. Then I notice one of the nails was put on crooked. How is that going to be fixed I thought. Nothing was done to make it right. I had already been there way too long for a simple full set. Longest full set I have ever had. I was already unhappy with how it was turning out so I was more than ready to leave. Then towards the end I noticed white stuff underneath the nails and I asked if this will come off and the tech said after a few washes it will come off. WRONG here we are a week later and it’s still there. When it came time to pay I was so mad to see the amount for a poor job that took so long! This is a reason I hardly get my nails done and now I know I will not use this...
