Stepping into Dynamo Coffee is like discovering a hidden treasure trove for coffee enthusiasts. The sight of a roaster in the front window and the word "community" in their name instantly piqued my interest, and little did I know, it would be a coffee shop worth driving a few extra miles.

As soon as I walked in, warm laughter mingled with conversations a welcoming tapestry like a familiar embrace. Families enjoying quality time, friends catching up, solo workers engrossed in their laptops, and a handful of individuals at the bar making small talk with the baristas.

What makes Dynamo Coffee Roasters truly special is the fact that it's the dream brought to life by two passionate locals, Will and Leah, with an extensive background in the world of coffee. Knowing the backstory adds a personal touch to the experience, making it more than just a place to get a good cup of coffee.

While I opted for the usual, an espresso with an option of a dark or light blend and a latte, there are many coffee offerings providing a delightful dilemma. From something to pick you up quickly, like their Strongest Potion or a Lotus Energy Drink, to a Steamer (a hot chocolate with house-made sauce), there is something for everyone’s taste. And the culinary journey extends beyond coffee – from tempting baked goods to a selection of bagels and a menu boasting mouthwatering sandwiches, there's something to satiate every craving.

Today was my second time visiting and worth writing a review for both visits. I came solo the first time and the barista suggested a blueberry iced latte (not my normal drink at all!) and it was great. I got a Colorado breakfast sandwich that and it was one of the better breakfasts sandwiches I’ve ever had.

Brought my two kiddos with me today and we took over the front area to the left when you walk in. Lots of things to explore as far as books and games. My older son got a bagel and cream cheese and a steamed milk with hot chocolate. Barista put kids temp on there and I appreciate that! I got a black walnut iced latte with the dark roast and it was equally as good as the blueberry one! Got The Babe breakfast sandwich this morning and it was good and filling. I appreciate that they have high chairs available! Also almost unheard of with other coffee shops. I even think there was a changing pad in one of the bathrooms if I remember correctly. Didn’t use it this morning, though!

Also, random but we have really enjoyed the FH beerworks coffee cream ale outside of here and just realized it was Dynamo coffee along with them!

So much to enjoy and can’t wait to bring my husband back here and try more...

Update: Their coffee has been SO much better since the first time I went. I would absolutely recommend this place in my top Colorado Springs coffee shops. Plus, I really can’t get over how friendly and serving everyone there is.

I don’t like giving bad reviews and writing off a place after one visit. I’ll try this place again in a month or two to see if they improve and update my review accordingly.

The service was great and they make your coffee right after you get there for online orders so it doesn’t get cold.

On the down side the coffee is simply not good. The drip coffee tasted like it was both roasted months ago and under extracted during the brewing process. The one espresso drink I tried had so much flavoring in it you couldn’t taste the espresso so it remains to be seen if they have good espresso.

Hopefully they improve and I can try again. 2 stars for friendly and great service but coffee that’s worse than Starbucks and seating and tables that aren’t good for sitting or working as they didn’t look comfortable and the...
