I have always cautioned about staying at Fairfield Inn because growing up, prior to them being a part of the Marriott family, they were pretty run down. To my surprise, they have come a long way! I see reviews stating that the furniture is worn out. Well this hotel is only a few years old and the furniture isn't worn out, it's just not as modern looking. I mean it would be nice if the hotel had more vibrant colors instead of warm notes, if you care about that, but it was very clean and the breakfast was delicious! The quiche *chefs kiss.* The lady who was in charge of breakfast made sure that everything was well stocked, from the food down to the cinnamon and other toppings for waffles. My one issue that I did bring to Robert and Devon's attention is that I was able to check in with the app, however I never received notification that the room was ready, even though the app states to give an arrival time. Both stated you must come into the front desk to check in, every guest has complained about that. If you all are aware of this issue from your guests, why not fix the problem? My 3 issues which I didn't bring to anyone's attention because they wouldn't be able to fix the issues, even if I did get another room: 1. In order to turn on the lights in the main area, you have to walk over to each lamp by the bed and click the switch under each one. The light switch at the door only turns on the light in the small hallway. 2. No outlets by the bed to charge the phone or anything else, only USB ports. All of the outlets were under the TV. I guess if I had an extension cord, but I have never been to any hotel, no matter the brand, where there was not at least one outlet on either side of the bed. 3. The hotel itself was pretty quiet, but the wall unit for heat/ac and the fridge were very loud. There was nothing I could do about the fridge, so I just had to turn the heat down to 65 to make sure it didn't click on as much. This appears to just be a Marriott issue with whomever they are going with for manufacturing since I'm finding this issue at more locations throughout the country. If you are a light sleeper, be aware. Even though I wasn't on a traveling nurse assignment this weekend, I would choose the Fairfield Inn over the Courtyard since they have free parking and breakfast for future stays. Shout-out to Devon for his friendly demeanor and conversation. He was very helpful.

Stayed here several nights. Upon arrival one raining night, we found the awning area occupied by two trucks parked and left unattended most of the night (I suppose the owners were afraid to get them wet?). The front spots were ALL taken. 10 of them by trailered trucks. Unloading from afar in pouring rain was not a pleasant experience, and the attendant was unable/unwilling to get any mis-parked vehicles to relocate. The lot trucks/trailers stayed there a couple of days without moving. One of the awning trucks later moved to a spot, but then somehow managed to block the sidewalk. As another reviewer wrote: The staff was very courteous, the rooms were clean, and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was adequate - a lot of processed foods which may not agree with everyone, but some fruits were available, though not great quality. The waffles were excellent, as were the boiled eggs. We ended up with chucky soured/spoilt milk one morning (was not expired). The fitness room is nice, and has a great filtered water station for filling bottles. In the rooms: There is a gap at the bottom of the doors letting in a lot of light from the hallway. A towel covering the crack fixed this for the night. The fire alarms blink a bright green light all night. We were awakened unexpectedly by a leftover alarm from a previous guest at 4:30am. It took several minutes and everyone woken to figure out how to turn it off without destroying the infernal thing. Despite marking four guests in a room, we were left only three bath towels (twice). The body-wash dispenser was found to be empty mid-shower. TP rolls were left mostly consumed. The shower curtain rods were mounted 4-6" too high so it's a delicate operation to correctly place it without leaving water all over the bathroom floor. The microwave in one room made an extremely loud/concerning buzzing sound (louder than a fire alarm - I'm not kidding). The only remedy proposed from the front desk was to use the kitchen's unit downstairs instead.

I checked in for a weekend stay room to visit a friend. The woman who helped me check in was super friendly and pleasant and made me feel very welcome - as a platinum Marriott member I was also given an upgrade which was a nice bonus. The room was nice, clean and spacious. I didn't use the couch, but it was nice to have a separate sitting area. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was also very nice, and well cleaned. I had a view of Pikes Peak which was even better. This location is close to a lot of restaurants and shops and is in a nice residential part of Colorado Springs. The continental breakfast was standard and the dining area was clean. I didn't have my swimsuit or gym attire, but both looked nice and well kept. There are some wall scuffs here and there which was surprising given the hotel is pretty new. But nothing agregious. I had some issues the second night with the guests above me, who allowed children to run back and forth across the room, jumping off of things and slamming things around, this went on for over an hour (8pm-9:30) before I let the front desk know through the app. I got a call about 15 minutes after letting me know they had talked to the room and let them know the noise was traveling (and vibrating my bed wall). They were quiet until 10-11pm when I was woken up by what sounded like people body slamming the floor, by 11:30 I couldn't get back to sleep due to the loud random slamming - so I sent another message to the front desk. I didn't get a call back, which probably because it was so late, but in about 20 minutes the sounds stopped and I was able to get back to sleep. The hotel staff handled this annoying situation very well, which I appreciate (as I was waking very early the next day). Overall this is a great, affordable location that I will stay at again when I visit CSprings.

As a premier Marriott Bonvoy member, my wife and I stay in Marriott properties all over the country. We are retired and enjoy traveling throughout the USA. Our recent visit to the Colorado Springs Fairfield Inn and Suites located at 4107 Tutt Blv (right next to the Security Field Ball Park) on August 7th 2021, was one of the worst experiences with any Marriott property we have ever stayed with. The price for a room was quite high $269 per night or 30,000 Points for Marriott rewards. Similar properties we have stayed at have run 10 - 20,000 points depending on location. So based on the cost to stay here, our expectations were running high. Upon arrival, the hotel seemed clean and inviting. Things changed quickly at check in. I had recently undergone an ankle surgery and needed crutches to get around. We made our way to the front desk and stood waiting while the clerk visited with the guest ahead of us who was given the last handicap accessible room, which he obviously didn’t need. He even made a comment about saving it for someone who may need it at which point I spoke up saying I could use it! Instead, my wife and I were given a king room towards the back of the building on the first floor - room 133. We were directed to a side entrance were we were greeted by an overflowing trash can next to the door. Our room was very small and cramped, definitely not what I would call a suite. The dark brown carpet was badly stained and the room seemed rundown overall. Both my wife and I were exhausted from being on the road and too tired to go to the front desk to complain, after all we were only going to be there one night. The room was noisy. We could hear people running up and down the stairs all night and music coming from another room - this was after 11:00 pm at night. After a shower the next morning the mrs headed down to the breakfast room. Another big disappointment. Everything was picked over and mostly gone with no attendant in sight. All in all a very bad experience with a company we had always been happy with in the past. We will not be returning to this location again. Pros: Nice location, close to entertainment restaurants and shopping. Cons: Over priced Filthy carpets Poorly maintained Poor service at check in No service at breakfast bar Noisy Small cramped room Dirty room Fly droppings or other...

Lynn at the front desk was an absolute joy. She’s very sweet, professional and personable too! Her service is what Marriott brands are about. The facility itself is on the newer side. I was highly impressed and def would recommend to be back.

Edit/update Originally I had given this place 5 stars on service, due to the front desk. But the morning person at breakfast on 5/20 was HORRIBLE, I literally cringe just reviewing it because no one should be treated that way, and the way she treated my special needs son was not okay. She gave him this disgusted looked when he went to get food. And didn’t realize I, his mother, was present to witness this. I am sorry we “inconvenienced you by coming down for breakfast at 8:45”, but it’s not like we finished your items/food or asked you to go back and do anything extra for us, so I am confused what the issue was. We, especially my children, didn’t deserve the dirty looks she gave us for simply getting food . It was so bad that my kids were asking what they’d done wrong because she was so rude and obvious with her issue that we were eating there. She rolled her eyes, sighed loudly, put her hands up eveytime we would even lift a lid to get food, acting like she’d just been visited by a high school football team who cleared her out and had asked her to go refill everything before the breakfast window closed. That’s how she ACTED. But we didn’t even do that, We used the waffle maker ONCE, , we got 6 slices of bacon for 4 people. Only one of us ate scrambled eggs and there was food in every pan when we left, so what exactly did we do wrong?! I still don’t know. That kind of attitude will kill it for service. To the lady “serving” breakfast, you’re of the age you should’ve learned not to be in that type of job of servicing people if you cannot be kind, and if you had a bad day, you should also know better than to take it out on kids and adults, at your work no less. Do better.

The ladies at checkout, while different than Miss Lynn, were sweet and nice and provided good service and interaction on the morning of checkout. So Thank you, front desk,...
