The Shops @ the Sanctuary is an absolutely beautiful place! My friend happens to be a wheelchair user and we were stunned with delight that the wheelchair ramp in the back was useable and that the door was unlocked! That seems simple but it made us feel like valued customers! Additionally the booths and all the items were evenly spread out so my freinds wheelchair could pass through! So many shops with the same concept is in mo way, shape, or form welcoming to individuals with mobility aids! Yeah, we were not able to acess the lower level but that didn't matter to us, the compassion of the owners and the drive to ensure everyone is welcomed is good enough for us! I decided to purchase a small vase when sadly we overheard a woman complaining about two of her vendor booths, belittling their booth items and also each vendor. My friend and I were so turned off by the conversation we overheard that I put the vase down and we left the building. My friend has a booth in a mall in another city and knows the struggles of having a booth, paying rent, commission and keeping it filled.

   Read moreIt’s an old church tuned into a market with individual booth sellers (imagine flea or farmers market without the seller present and in an indoor retail setting). Many unique items though some were quite expensive others had specials going. There is a café in the basement but we didn’t try it. There is a whole back area and basement so don’t miss those!
