Rob is truly a master of his craft, and absolutely wonderful to work with for custom jewelry orders. He has now made an engagement ring for me and my wedding band, and both turned out better than I ever could have imagined. In both cases I had done some thinking and research ahead of time and came to him with rough ideas of elements that I wanted in each ring. From there he shared his expertise and his own creative vision to help figure out all the details, and make truly unique pieces that my fiance and I absolutely love. Rob was very easy to work with throughout every step of the process - patient, thorough, and transparent, and very respectful of my wishes, budget, etc. Never pressuring me on anything or trying to upsell, and the prices actually turned out to be very comparable to other similar rings I had seen available for sale online. On top of all the business stuff, Rob is a genuinely good person, and I think that's especially nice to know when you're making big purchases like these. The store also has a ton of beautiful and unique pre-made jewelry available for purchase that's suitable for a wide range of budgets. Tucker's Jewelry is hands down the best jewelry store in Columbia. Rob Tucker and the rest of the staff have an infinite amount of jewelry knowledge that can only come from years of custom designing, hand making and performing all types of repairs. You can tell it is truly their passion as they greatly enjoy showing you the whole process of how a particular piece of jewelry is created from start to finish. It is all done right there in their store. Their items are very reasonably priced and really, there is something for everyone. And if there is not, they can make it. I purchased a beautiful diamond ring set in platinum for my wife. Rob is going to make a set of pearl earrings for my daughter with surgical steel posts since my daughter has allergies to other metals. And when we pick those up, we are going to let her pick out a set of jewels for another set of earrings from their very large selection of loose jewels. Lee was very professional and showed my husband several options. During the process, he was very knowledgeable and helped us to purchase a very high quality set of stones. As a result of losing a diamond earring from a prior set, Lee recommended we get the earrings with a special locking back. He recommended a particular locking back that has proven effective in preventing the loss of earrings based on his experience with his daughter. Twenty years ago, Lee gave his daughter a pair of earrings with these locking backs and they have never fallen out of her ears.
