I would give 0 if it was an option. This was the worst FIRST experience for our daughters first hair cut. We were in and out in 5 min which to me isn’t a good thing. The hair dresser Amanda was rude and seemed to be in a rush to get out of there. Kept telling me bangs were a no and a face frame to keep my daughters hair out of her face wouldn’t work. I asked about layers and she said it would put holes in my daughters hair which I didn’t understand because my daughters hair was down to her butt and would look great with layers. The whole point of going to cut her hair was to get the hair out of her face. She kept suggesting clips to keep her hair back I’m like girl I know obvi to do that she won’t keep anything in her hair. Her haircut looks like absolute crap I’m so upset. As we were checking out they asked if we were doing the first haircut package which would be a picture and a lock of her hair. Prior to the haircut we were going to as we agreed when asked when we first came in. The lady cashing us out as she’s asking us if we were doing that today Amanda was already sweeping up my daughters hair to throw away so no we said no because we felt so upset over the experience and how rushed we felt. So so incredibly rude. I asked her if she had time to cut my sons hair him being a walk in which states online that they are welcome and she said she didn’t have time. There wasn’t anyone else in the place, you can’t schedule an appointment online after 4 so I know you don’t have anyone else coming in and since it took her less than 2 min to cut my daughters hair I figured she could squeeze him in being there’s still more time in the time slot from my daughters appointment. We didn’t even realize how badly cut her hair was until we left and had a minute to look. I’m in customer service have been for 15 years and this was so bothersome. While our previous experiences at Snippets have been positive, our most recent was very disappointing. We were five minutes late getting there thanks to traffic. It took my son another 2-3 minutes to get out of the car, bc what kid doesn’t take forever, am I right? When we walked in, I immediately apologized for being late and said, “our last cut took all of 7 minutes so we feel confident we won’t hold up the next appointment.” However, we were turned away bc the next client, who was not even there yet, would then have to wait…or so was predicted. Funny, I just read another review that said their son’s cut took 5 minutes. So why, with 8 minutes remaining in our absurd 15 min time slot, were we turned away? As repeat customers, we expected a bit more grace and leniency, especially when you’re paying double what they charge to do the same cut down the road at Great Clips for half the price. And especially from a business that says they support kids with special needs. Aren’t all kids expected to want to change shoes 3 different times before they walk out the door and you’re trying everything in your power just to get them in the car so you can be on time? When your business is nothing but unpredictable kids, you’d think they’d have a better policy for their time slots. I also love that they can say their start times may vary, but oh wait, you better not be more than two minutes late. So the grace only goes one way. Anyway, my son and I walked away to go back home (through the same awful traffic) and I listened to him cry the whole way bc all he’s been fixating on for the last week is to get his hair cut. If you want your kids hair to get butchered this is the place for you. Went to them 6 different times and got 6 different hair cutters. They all screwed my sons hair up. Just went their yesterday (June 27) and the lady had him in the chair for over and hour. He is only 3 years old, it's no reason it should take an hour to cut a little boys hair. In the back of his head his hair on the left side is all the way up his neck and on the right side it's a good 2 and half inches long. And don't even get me started on how bad she messed up his bangs! Each side of his head is different lengths. Left side over his ears and thick. Right side is above his ears and buzzed.
