Came into Columbus today and visiting this store was at the top of the list since I needed a few things. Unfortunately there was a homeschooling or play group meeting going on. There were at least one smaller child being entertained by an adult in the floor. This made shopping and even browsing nearly impossible. I wasn't greeted either which could have alleviated the feeling that I was in their way by attempting to shop so I left almost as quickly as I entered. It's super unfortunate but I dont think I'll return when we come back into the city. I prefer buying teas/herbs and oils from a small business when I can. I'll be ordering my needs online this time.
Edit : That's wonderful. Who should I have asked for help from? No one acknowledged me, and I didnt want to interrupt the group at the back of the store. I didn't check the website just the store hours on google and I don't frequent social media nor do I live in the area to see you on the news. It wasnt the activity that was the problem, the lack of customer service for the customers that may come in during the activity was the actual problem. Great program though
Eta: as I'm reviewing the other unfavorable reviews you have, i see there's a trend for expecting customers to just "know" how your store works. If I could make a suggestion I would suggest having enough staff to work with customers while the store has other programs going on. To expect that all customers comb through social media posts to know when it's just store hours with no other activities going on is unreasonable imo. Having enough staff during this time would alleviate those kinds of complaints.
Eta 9/25 please repost your social media to include my edit/s as the school group wasn't the issue, the lack of service for your other customers was. I'm so glad you guys have all the homeschooling support!...
Read moreI have shopped at Aglow a handful of times. I have purchased teas, crystals, gems, locally made earrings, locally made crocheted items, and even locally made elderberry syrup. Every time I go I feel like I'm walking into a serene environment filled with plants and stones. Not only is the place beautiful to look at but the owner and employees are super nice and sweet. They are busy sometimes making teas, candles, or teaching classes during business hours but with a simple "excuse me" or "Hello, I have a question" or "I need assistance" their focus is completely shifted to you. I like this store because you can walk in and you won't get hounded consistently while you shop, instead they let you peruse at peace in the lovely store ambiance and let you take it all in. I am an introverted "please, don't ask me a million times if I need help" person, so this shop is perfect for me. I walk in, might get a hello or a smile and then I'm left alone to just look around and browse uninterrupted so I don't feel rushed to hurry up...
Read moreI absolutely LOVE Aglow Apothecary and the care and attention that Nedda gives. The atmosphere is lush and GREEN: gorgeous green walls and lots of green plants and meticulously placed items. I highly suggest the terrarium building workshop whenever it’s offered— it’s not a race to the finish, it’s about the time you spend making something beautiful with the people you’re building with, learning about soils and plants while enjoying tea. As a chai lover, I do recommend trying the Full Moon Chai and I also recommend allowing Nedda to make you a specialized tea based on whatever your needs may be. Lastly, don’t forget your pets! My Spartacus LOVES the Balance & Calm treats and I love them, because they’re...
