ALDI — Local services in Columbus

This Aldi has great stuff at great prices- but the ringing noise is awful!

They apparently now think we are all checking out too slowly, so after every item scanned a loud voice reminds you to put your item in the bag and keep scanning.

On top of that, they apparently think their employees are all hard of hearing because they added this extremely loud telephone ringing sound that plays when someone presses the help button. The ringing can be heard throughout the store. And it never stopped.

Dear Aldi: there is never a line here, and your employees are always quick to help.

These obnoxious sound effects are trying to solve a problem that never existed.

I run a daycare and been waiting for this store to open. I was out and needed more snacks for my daycare before the children came in. I stop and didn’t have a quarter on me for a cart. I stop and ask a man that was in his aldi shirt talking to another employee for assistance with a cart but I didn’t have change. He sent me to a cashier that was too busy ringing up people and here I am just standing while they talk amongst themselves as if I wasn’t good enough to help. I had to leave due to limit time and they could careless and seen the frustration in my face and still allowed me to walk out the store without what I came for. I’ll never step back in there. This aldi has the rudest employees. I never leave reviews but had to after this afternoon. I was walking down an aisle where an employee was restocking shelves. She took up the entire aisle and I gently said excuse me. She looked at me, huffed, and rolled her eyes. This is not the first time I've felt aggression and annoyance from employees at this location either.
