Boss Gal Brows provided a wonderful experience. The brow studio was exceptionally clean. Kathy, herself, is a lovely, calming person (very necessary as I have no other experience with permanent cosmetics or tattoos). She sat me down and explained the procedure and was given information to take home and study before I got the actual microblading done. I then went in for my complimentary brow wax. Once that healed, it was time for the real deal! Kathy took her time and talked me through the whole procedure. She uses a very strong lidocaine so there is barely any discomfort at all. She outlines her brow shape with a wax pencil and shows you exactly what to expect. Different pigments are sampled against your skin and you BOTH decide on a color. She then starts the little scratches that become your new improved natural-looking brows! She even managed to give me, Ms Flat-brows, an arch! She frequently asks about your pain level and just reapplies the lidocaine if it is getting too much. After the initial microblading procedure, the whole area feels a little like a sunburn for a day or two. I really didn't have much scabbing at all. Next up: The PERFECTION SESSION The perfection session was exactly the same except we opted to go a little darker or "Bolder, more Boss-like". I had absolutely NO pain. Not kidding, it was a really relaxing experience and I was enjoying the conversation and atmosphere to the point where I was a bit sorry to be done. The second healing process was even easier than the first. Now my brows are done, healed and look amazing! I have had many compliments and tons of people have asked where I had them done. Most of them don't realize that it is permanent. Even my mother loves them. KATHY: The precision she puts into each little stroke is what sets her above the rest of the brow studios out there. She is an experienced nurse and pays attention to infection control. This was important to me as I would hate to get an infection so close to my eyes. She was completely professional and didn't rush any of my decisions or the procedure itself. In the end, I am thrilled with my Boss Brows. I feel like it gives me a confidence boost at work and makes me smile when I look in the mirror. I will definitely be calling her up in a couple of years for my retouching session, the "Color Pop". I had been waiting to have my brows done with Kathy for 4 years! Working with her was worth the wait and all the hype! Before hand there were professional reminders and information provided which were so helpful in prepping for the micro blade session. The staff is excellent and so personable! Kathy herself was so amazing, courteous, & professional. She was very welcoming and made me feel very comfortable about the decisions during our consultation before the process began. She provided practical opinion and also wanted me to feel empowered for what my personal preferences were. Before we started the process she was great about explaining the each tool, what they were used for, and level set with me what I could anticipate from a timing and pain perspective (which happened to be no pain-in my opinion). During each stage of the process she continued to talk me through what was happening so I wasn’t startled or curious and was still part of what was happening. I really appreciate her attention to detail and being such a perfectionist. She continually checked in with me to ensure I was feeling ok and comfortable and had all the information I needed during and and after we completed!

I’ve been hesitating to pull the trigger on microblading for over a year. Getting semi permanent tattoos on your face is not something to do on a whim. And finding the best person to do the job takes research. I made appointments with 2 other places and backed out of both. I started following Boss Gal on Instagram and looked at EVERY photo and read EVERY review, and finally knew I’d found someone I could trust. Kathy was incredibly detailed in explaining the process and painstakingly drew and redrew the outlines for my brows until they were exactly what I wanted. She helped me understand the differences between microblading and shading and helped me figure out which I wanted. One of my hesitations was pain, and from someone with a fear of needles/pain in general, I can tell you it DOES NOT HURT. I rated it a 1-2 on the pain scale. I have my 6 week touch up appointment next week and I’m ecstatic to get there and have my eyebrows looking even more amazing. I could have never imagined how much easier life is when you don’t have to draw on your brows or how wonderful it is to wake up and feel like you can leave the house without putting anything on your face.
