We Interrupt This Birthday Discussion for Customer Service
I normally place my orders online, but I visited this location today for a specific gift purchase. My experience was highly disappointing.
First, the online inventory check was misleading; approximately half of the items I intended to purchase were unavailable in-store.
However, the main issue was the extremely unprofessional behavior of the manager (beach blonde hair). She was positioned prominently at the front of the store, deeply entrenched in a loud discussion with two young employees, detailing inappropriate and cringeworthy aspects of her personal life, including her 35th birthday plans. The two younger staff members, who remained professional and clearly uncomfortable, deserve immense credit for enduring this incessant banter without engaging.
When customers, myself included, approached them with simple product inquiries, the manager's demeanor suggested we were interrupting her personal meeting. This disregard for customers and the toxicity of forcing junior staff to listen to inappropriate personal conversation is a serious business concern. I refrained from explaining to the aghast employees the potential legal liabilities associated with her constant, inappropriate conversation. I strongly urge management not to interrogate or harass the other employees, and ensure they face absolutely no retaliation for their manager's crude and unprofessional behavior. This situation is detrimental to both the customer experience and employee morale, and potentially a...
Read moreCheck your sales rules and receipts every time, although all but 1 item was on a buy 5 get 2 sale once put into the register 1 item voided both the buy 5 get 2 until it was removed and purchased separately, this was confusing and caused me to have to do 2 individual purchases, one for the item not on the sales list and one for the 10(5+5+2+2=14) items covered with the sale, there was a major price difference between the sale as one transaction vs splitting it up, one item voided the sales promotion of two sets of buy 5get 2. Sales reps couldn't explain why it was such a different price when done separately as the sale should have applied regularly regardless of whether it had 1 item not included that should have been the only item to wring up at full price and not reflect or affect the terms and conditions of the sale but it clearly did. Once separated into 2 sales, 1 non sale item and 14 on sale items the sale prices applied but when was done all together everything was full price, the customer beside me had the same issue and she had hers separated into 2 transactions and sales applied showing a $60 difference between 1 transaction added to the second one & total and doing all purchases on one receipt total. Ours was a difference of about $130. If you're going by sales you probably want to do each sale separately to make sure you don't hit a register glitch that will void sales if you're not paying attention and don't catch it you could be out of a significant amount (of...
Read moreVery disrespectful! I came in to shop at the mall to celebrate my daughters birthday with my family only for one of the employees to stop and accuse me of stealing. She was black, heavy set and had loc/braided hair. She purposefully racial profiled me and my family and had the audacity to yell gaining everyone's attention and even having a security guard follow us around for the next 2 stores. I will be making an official complaint and hopefully get this wicked...
