Update 5/21/24: finally got my engagement ring back.. and I’m beyond disappointed again. They have destroyed and devalued something that is so special to me. They returned my ring with a new design AGAIN on the sides, absolutely horrifying looking, center stone still isn’t fixed and isn’t straight. In store, when I brought up the concern when I’m getting my ring back, I was just ignored and told you can barely see it. They have destroyed my ring and at this point I don’t know what to do anymore.
I have been a loyal customer for years now, my husband is in the army and so we've lived in Maryland, California, Tennesse, and now here Georgia and when I tell you I have never had such horrible luck before.. I'm beyond exhausted by it. I have many pieces of jewelry from zales and every time I have ever sent out my jewelry for a repair from California, Maryland, or Tennesse, it has always been returned to me in a beautiful and successfully repaired state.. Then I come here to Georgia.. Please note that it is not the sales department here in Columbus that is the issue, it is the repair shop they are partnered with. I have sent out my engagement ring 3 times now, once was not their fault, but they returned it completely damaged and trashed on the sides (a part of the ring they weren't even supposed to repair), after sending it back again so they can fix their mistake, they returned it, but this time the design was changed and the two sapphires that sit on both sides of the ring are now sticking out further than the original design and my center stone isn't even straight, it's crooked. Well this new design they created on the sides caused one of the sapphires to get lose and fall out while I was at work (I work in a school)... Needless to say I was so upset that I lost a sapphire, but somehow god was looking out for me that day because I miraculously found it in the building. When I went to go turn my ring in for a 3rd time now, I was informed that if I didn't find the sapphire I would have had to pay for a new one when it wasn't even my fault that it got lost, because they jacked up the original design of the ring (still currently waiting for my ring to get back for this repair 4/30/24). Moving forward, when I sent out my ring to get the sapphire put back in, I also sent out a white gold 18 inch chain to get soldered and I got a notification yesterday that it was ready for pick up. All excited, I checked the necklace in the store, I didn't see any damage, so I took it home. I was so excited to put my pendent onto the chain and put it around my neck, only to find out that the necklace isn't the right length anymore once I put it on.. Something told me to measure the chain to see what length it was, and it is now a 20 inch rather than the 18 that it's supposed to be. Within a span of 4 months, I have had two pieces of jewelry damaged and returned to me poorly. I am so beyond frustrated with this location's repair shop and so disappointed, I have never had such disgusting work done on such expensive pieces of jewelry. I ordered a necklace and the CSR clearly typed in the wrong address or the system was faulty because it was doing changes when I tried to order it myself. Thats why I called it in ..the csr , She couldn't even spell Phenix ,, she had Phoenix instead .. then Today the 16th I received an email saying I would not get an email .. how ? When there never was a conformation for the RIGHT address. All I got was a no refund email. Mind you Tuesday the 15th I called and was hung up on due to trying to track the package, my first attempt was soon as I saw the address was wrong on the email .. 2 minures later ,, I called immediately and that was soon as the email came through, right after another young lady stated she changed the address come to find out she had put it in wrong also wrong after repeating it bk TO ME zales is a rip off and I demand my money bk I have no merchandise at their lack of training. Or i will definitely seek an attorney or go to the news channel to let them know Zales is a scam on line /csr.. channel 9 news will hear about thus the reason i wasnt able to pick it up in the store was because I was handling personal issues. Read moreDo not trust this zales. Do not trust the store manager to act appropriately for the situation. The store manager will completely start on the edge of defence. Sent my ring in to repair the band only. Started with a drawing of the inclusions on my diamond which was two micro inclusions. So far so good. I get my ring back with the band fixed and my 3/4 diamond stone with more and longer inclusion. Ask the manager to draw the inclusions she saw and her drawing was COMPLETELY DIFFERENT then the original drawing of my stone. I also asked her to point out the one larger prong that was previously repaired by zales in Oklahoma. She said I only see one smaller. Why was my main stone and 6 prongs tampered with when the band was the only repair. The manager said the regional manager will contact us, no contact. Called the manager to inform them we are ready to call to make a report with the police. Her first and immediate response was, "why? I do not see what that will do! And are you calling to have them arrest me?" None of the above, however we need a report from authorities to attach to our paper work to notify insurance on my ring.
