Nice pedicure! I took my mom here to use a $200 gift card I had received for a holiday. We both got Blush Pedicures ($57, so $114 total). Beautiful location, walls need a dusting, but chairs and stations were very clean.
Our two technicians were both lovely, great service. I do wish they had asked if it was either of our first time receiving a pedicure or if we wanted the service explained at all as I didn’t really know proper procedures of setting myself up in the chair, which foot to give them, etc. Both were professional and knew what they were doing; one seemed more senior than the other and seemed to help guide the other tech to synchronize the pedicures for myself and my mom, which was really nice as our services finished up at the same time. My mom really liked the massage chairs installed into the stations; I like that they’re offered, but chose not to use mine. I LOVED the hot rocks they use to rub clay (?) into your feet and calves as part of this service; my skin feels lovely, and my polish color turned out quite nice as well. Big selection of colors that we were allowed to choose from. Easy 4.5/5 for the pedicure itself.
The gentleman at the front desk was ever so slightly rude and made efforts to be as unengaged as possible, seeming annoyed when we didn’t know to check in on the iPad, etc. Not a huge deal. We checked in and stood there, not sure if we should pick out polish, etc. Our technicians came and got us shortly and confirmed for us to choose colors. After it was time to check out, I paid on gift card, then asked to tip on gift card and was told I couldn’t. Gift card purchaser had informed me that they had asked when purchasing the card if it would be possible to tip on the card and was told yes, so I was slightly annoyed, but again, not a huge deal at all — leaves me with more of a credit for another nice service. They seem to like to steer customers towards Venmo tipping, but I used cash. I tipped $15 per $57 service ($30 total) as the technicians made every effort to synchronize our pedicures and give us a great experience.
Overall, would totally come back and get another service here. I would book online, they advertise walk-ins and while the iPad check in system is a relatively easy way to check in, a more personal touch at the front desk would assist with helping first time guests know where to go and even...
Read moreUpdated review: Kylie, the owner, called me and gave me her personal number to coordinate having my nails redone. She was very flexible with me and kind when my schedule got a bit wonky. Kylie offered me a choice of a dip or gel manicure. I decided to try the dip and she also added a little design to it. She didn't mention it or ask me to delete or edit my review, but I feel compelled to because she did such a wonderful job and was so sweet.
She mentioned about her philosophy on training her nail techs and building them up in the salon, and I think that's great.
The quality of the nails and the care she took is obvious whenever I look at my nails. I would actually say the job she did is the best I've seen done on my nails in Columbus. It more than makes up for my original experience. I will see them again soon! And I would recommend them, because if you aren't happy with the way your nails turn out, they will do what they can to fix it. Thank you so much Kylie! Your hard work was so appreciated. I love my nails!
Original review: I hate to say this, and I never leave negative reviews, but this is one of the worst manicures I've ever had in a professional salon. The coats are uneven on most of my nails, she didn't properly trim the sides of my nails/hang nails or cuticles, she left some gel on my skin, and on some nails it doesn't look like a new gel manicure. It looks like it's growing out and I just got this done today.
The poor nail tech struggled the whole time, first not using the proper light to cure my nails and switching it out with someone else's part way, and at one point called (I assume) the owner over because the nails didn't seem to be curing. She said she's only been doing this a few months, so I don't really blame her. The owner said everything was fine and that was that. She didn't mention the job being done or apologize for the issues, but she should have.
I went with a friend and she was done with her nails much earlier than I was. Her nails look pretty good.
For the amount of money you pay for it, my experience was kind of outrageous. It wasn't worth it. I gave 2 stars because despite the lack of skill, the nail tech was very nice, as was the atmosphere of the salon. But I would never go back to get my nails done here because of how inconsistent my experience was with my friend's experience and how poorly my...
Read moreUpdate: having been to Blush a few more times, my experience was definitely not as good. I did end up feeling extremely rushed, especially if I went closer to the weekend. I expect them to be a lot busier, but if I make an appointment to get my nails done then I also expect them to take the proper amount of time to do everything correctly. My main issues were that when I went to get my nail color changed (still doing dip powder), they would rush the acetone removal and drill off the rest of my dip. Pieces would fly everywhere. I learned that this is not how it's supposed to be done!! Dip should be soaked off over 15-20 minutes, not drilled off. This I really bad for your nails. Even after that, I didn't get a good set of nails. They were super bumpy and the person was definitely rushing to get me out of there. After that, I switched salons and now I get a MUCH better experience. My dip nails look way better than they ever did with Blush. For these reasons, I'm changing my review to two stars.
I went to Blush for the first time to get my dip powder nails done (also for the first time). I got the dip powder manicure, which is $55 +tax. One thing I didn't know before going in is that the "manicure" part is really just cuticle removal. I thought there would be more involved, like with a classic manicure. I would recommend to do the cuticle removal at home if possible to save you some cash. Besides that, my experience was amazing. Nobody rushed me to pick a color, and my nail tech Natalie even helped me pick one out when I wasn't sure about my first choice. Natalie was super super nice and friendly, and she was very accommodating as well. When I asked her to fix some things, she was on it with no complaints, and I could tell she really wanted me to like her work. She also gave me a free hand massage even when it wasn't included. Couldn't recommend her enough, and my nails...
