Update: The store manager, Dan, apologized for the confusion and explained the situation. He honored the sign. I increase my rating from 1 to 4 stars. Thank you Dan!

Until visiting this location I LOVED the DFWH stores. I wouldn't recommend visiting this store, the staff at the other locations around the city are much friendlier. Customer service practices are certainly going away.
A group of friends and I decided to check out this location, because each store is different. My friend found a number of items that she wanted to purchase! We were super excited when we found a sign that said all grey tagged items were 80% off because 3 of her 7 items had a grey tag. We were shocked when we reached the register and they were not scanning correctly. The cashier was kind and said she would call the manager on duty, Trev.
Trev, in a very unpleasant tone, informed us there was nothing he could do; even after seeing the incorrect sign. "The system won't allow us to do it". My friend asked him to call the store manager to see if he had better customer service skills. Trev went in a corner to talk to the manager, he came back to the register while he was saying unkind things...
"Yeah, that's what I tried to tell them" "Um... they're three express items... so, yeah..." "I don't even know where they found that sign".
After his last statement I offered to show him the sign that was posted in the main isle across from the express shirts. He saw it and literally snatched it out of the display. After getting off of the phone he informed us "like he said" his hands were tied, but he'd be willing to give us one of the items for 80% off... so I guess they are able to do it in the system, right? He gave a card to the DFWH Media Director and told us he'd be the one to call if we wanted to make any additional complaints; the person's name on the card was no longer with the company but "someone will answer". He also offered to hold her items until we spoke to someone from corporate.
There was a tagging issue at the Gahanna location a few months ago and they honored THEIR mistake and apologized for the confusion. Visit that location, if you want to deal with these stores at all. We felt like Trev was accusing us of putting up the misleading sign. I will never set foot in that location again... They just lost three heavily referring and spending customers over what would have been less than $30. My friends bought all of their non-grey items and we left... It's not about the money... It's about the experience... Don't expect good customer...
Read moreWhen blanket policy is bad for business and potentially illegal. I have shopped at 4 different Dfwh in the last most spent well over 250$ but today I had to abandon another 80 to 100 purchase. On principle. You see my 8 year old with diabetes and high blood sugar at the time. Needed to use the bathroom. I asked specifically for her and was told no public restrooms. No exceptions closest one is across the street. Well if I have to leave to use a bathroom you can keep your clothes. So I told my wife let's go we not buying anything from here. To which your employee said I feel sorry for your wife. Ya sorry I am chosing my kid over your store. F you lady. I didn't take the time to explain this to your employee but Section 4173.02 | Use by certain customers of employee restrooms. Might want to have your legal department bush up on this. I won't be prosuing anything but a blank policy is going to bite you eventually by more then just my business.
I appreciate your reply. Unfortunately common sense is not so common. And I completely understand why you would only have bathroom access by request or with a key in this area. I must say in general I have found your stores very clean with friendly staff. The Hilliard store is very friendly. Henderson road, very friendly. Delaware and...
Read moreI had a bad experience at your store this evening. To begin, I was an assistant manager at your store. I quit last year, but still stop there on occasion, because I like your merchandise and your pricing. Also, I still have friends who still work there, so sometimes I pop in to say hi. After 2 or 3 visits since I moved back to Columbus, a few employees, who shall remain unnamed, passed the word onto me that the managers were not happy with my visits, being a former assistant and all. The reason I was informed of this, is because they thought they would get into trouble or be reprimanded. So tonight after I made my purchase, I simply asked if there was any issue with me coming in there to shop. I was told by Curtis, an assistant manager that "If I didn't want you in here, you wouldn't be allowed". I felt very uncomfortable and single out, for having done nothing wrong and for merely being a former employee. There are other details I've left out, as I would not like to state them publicly, but something needs to be done about this. There is no reason I should not be allowed in your...
