The food here is really good and it's the only reason I don't give this place one star. I have been a repeat customer, trying to give a business in my community some support up until now. I wouldn't leave a review if this had been a one-off incident, however this isn't the first time this has happened. The service here is awful, the employees seem to have an attitude and act as if you're somehow inconveniencing them. I asked an employee about their hottest flavor, as I was interested in trying it out and I was simply trying to gauge how spicy it was by comparing it to some of the other flavors I had tried here. When I asked, the employee replied, "Yeah, it's spicy". Well no s--- Sherlock, I figured that much, a little more info would be helpful seeing as though you're not an established restaurant whose been around for 50 years, where your menu would be well known to the general public. You're a small, local business in the ghetto that I would think, could and would benefit from word of mouth reviews of your restaurant. But after today, I'll be sure to mention the service before discussing the food, if anyone asks, and I definitely won't be back. I tend to shy away from chain restaurants, I feel like they take customers for granted, the food most of the time isn't good, and they really aren't interested in community or building relationships with customers over time. Nevertheless, I won't spend my money where I am made to feel like an...
Read moreSo I decided to stop in here completely out of the blue and do my review as I have heard the food is great. They did not know I was coming either or who I was so it worked out perfectly from a non bias experience. First off the food is actually good, better than some other chicken competitors and the sauce is a nice touch for the fries. I went with the wild sauce and was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to eat but also the popping flavor. I would come here again definitely for the food. Unfortunately now we get into the issues, you spent so much time opening this place up, creating a unique menu but the execution is going to end you quick. Realize youâre in Columbus regardless of the area youâre in and understand you can be closing your doors tmrw for someone elseâs business. The floors were filthy and disgusting and have not been cleaned ever, the pop machine is out of ice which causes it to make the soda go flat over a span of 8 hours which means they did not address it for a full working day. The service is sub par at best one gentleman was very good the others were not, no thank you, smiles and on their phones the entire time. In conclusion make your changes with your staff, teach them to clean and check the machines every few hours atleast and this could become a great spot. If not well atleast I got to experience it before you close the...
Read moreI came to overdose for the first time, and I have to say, they are amazing. I understand what people say about the name and the location, but I put my feelings and thoughts to aside, and boy was I amazed. I normally don't write reviews, but this food is nothing short of amazing. I will promote overdose hot chicken every where I go. My wife and I love it and enjoy. I will continue to come back and enjoy this chicken each and every time. Definitely worth the price for what you get. We got the loaded ride and it was darn good. We also got the fire shrooms and those were amazing as well. No complaints here. I hope more people decide to come there because they are definitely worth it. I understand that the name is bad for the area but it had nothing to do with the bad things that go on in that area. Those folks at Overdose Hot Chicken are amazing and deserve to be treated good because they provide great food. I myself lost a good friend to an O.D. and I put aside my thoughts and feelings because what they do has nothing to do with what goes on around them. They just provide a service they were enjoy and it has nothing to do with drugs or dying. Keep up the great work folks at Overdose Hot Chicken, because my wife and I...
