Game On — Local services in Columbus

Will start this with all other locations I’ve been I’ve had no complaints. This location had a great selection however Josh P seemed a bit sketch. Bought a total of 5 games today then I proceeded to ask for about 13 bucks off essentially he tells me my final price would be about $12 higher than what they would have been prior to me asking for a discount. I assuming honesty (cause why wouldn’t I?) thought I must have just been pretty rusty with my math. We settle on a total $2 higher than the original non-discounted price (Keep in mind I’m under the impression I’m getting a discount based of what Josh said the total ended up being.) I get home take a look at my receipt turns out he gave me a total of $4 off while also charging me $7 extra for game. Essentially spending more money overall had I just not said anything to begin with. I’m out a few bucks not a huge deal I know but honesty and respect are something I value far more and unfortunately it doesn’t seem I got any of that here. I certainly will not be back and will 100% recommend other stay away. Selection: 8/10 (Tons of reprinted cover arts and rigged cases) Prices: 7/10 (fair overall if held true to the price they actually have listed on the game) Customer service: 2/10 (nice guys but will bull shit you with a smile...

I had a very positive experience at this store. I walked in and was greeted with a very happy and human staff. I walked around for a while, seeing an awesome stock of consoles both old and new, plus an amazing game selection. I decided to buy an N64 game, one to add to the collection, and found that it works quite well. Some of the notable items I found are as follows: Intellivision II, Atari 2600, Boxed Super Scope, Boxed SNES, Xbox, Gameboy, and more. The pricing is great too. I found Ocarina of Time going for $35. Their pricing is pretty fair for what the item is, and I would certainly recommend it. Plus, they said that on Thursdays games over 20 years old are 20% off. Really cool! Then, you have the staff. The staff were really helpful, very knowledgeable, and just great guys to be around. I typically don't make reviews less than 5 stars, but when I do, it's bad. But don't take Game On as a bad store, per say, actually they are quite awesome! My only problem is... I recently obtained an original Xbox from a friend. Being a PlayStation fan, I called the store to ask about a selling price. I was quoted $17 over the phone. But that is not why I'm reviewing today. When I actually went in to sell, 30 minutes later, mind you, they offered me a whopping $7. I mean, I understand how business works, and that $7 is probably the price they pay for used Xboxes, but there is a thing called integrity. If you tell someone a price over the phone, you honor that price. Plain and simple. Now don't get me wrong, I love Game On, and i will continue to shop here, But I will not be going out of my way to come here anymore. But other than that,...
