Bob Evans — Restaurant in Columbus

We were seated 20 minutes later our server arrived at our table took our drinks order, another 25 minutes later came to tell us our food should be out soon. I said that's amazing since we haven't even got to order yet. I do understand they were busy. They had 3 cooks and 4 4 servers. We asked before they finally took our order if he had a guess on wait time. 4 large parties had just left there were maybe 6 booths of customers at this time. We were told 25-30 minutes. An hour later they brought my grandson kid size breakfast COLD, 5 minutes later, the rest of food arrived, my blt was soggy!! A soggy sandwich? My son's burger was also cold and so over cooked it was burnt, but bacon on top was pretty much raw. My son being 20 years in food service told the cooking it was ridiculous that 3 of them couldn't get it together, the servers were standing around chatting. When manager came to out table he told her how incompetent they were and didn't understand why she allowed them to be wearing earbuds talking and texting on there phones and cooking without gloves on. She acted as if she could of cared less. I swear she told the cooks they were doing a good job after she left out table. This place has gone down hill. Do bot waste your time here. They were not under staffed they had plenty of incompetent people working. I will never eat here again. Someone farther up the chain of command needs to come in as a customer and see what this...

Oh my goodness, this was a terrible, terrible visit. I waited at the hostess desk for 10 minutes before anyone notices I was there. Then they took their time deciding who'd show me to a table. Then I waited another 10 at my table before the waitress noticed me. I asked for water no lemon and she told me if she hears it she puts it in. I asked her to please not to. She argued that I confused her. She made a mistake on my cappuccino. I told her it was fine and I didn't care and I'd be happy to take it as is. She argued with me and took it away anyway. I asked for oatmeal. My waitress told me that Bob Evans didn't offer oatmeal. Since when did Bob Evans stop offering oatmeal??? I've been ordering it several times a month for 5 years straight. The waitress told me i must have been confusing Bob Evans with another restaraunt. After that, every decision I made was argued and debated. Eventually I just pointed at things on the menu... which the waitress told me I was confused and argued with me AGAIN! I have never had such a horrible experience at any restaurant, and especially not Bob Evans. Honestly, the only saving grace of the event was the food was good. I'll never again visit Bob Evans...

Our visit was not all bad, but, I wish their advertising was at least close to what we actually received. Now, this part being partially my fault. I had no cash for a tip, our server was great by the way, and we were told they ( Bob Evans ) gets changed a very high fee if we would leave a tip through our card. So we didn't leave a tip. I still feel bad about not leaving a tip. Cashier should have never told my husband that when he paid for our meal.

This visit gets FIVE STARS!!!!! We have been back to Bob Evans a time or two after the last visit. But for some reason I didn't get asked about our recent visit. Our last visit was GREAT and I chock that all up to our server, Machaela. She was THE best server we have ever had!!!! We absolutely loved how she got on her knees (so we didn't have to try and look up at her) to talk and take our order. She didn't try to rush us and took her time with us and didn't get impatient. Alll and all she will be the one we will ask for when we go again. If she's not there that day, well there are six more day's to go back in. We absolutely LOVED her. SHE will be the one that brings us in. Also the food was so, so, good as always....
