TL;DR - The room for 3 people (Small room) was about $40 including the tax. No American pop but a lot of Asian pops especially Chinese. Hard to use the karaoke machine.
This location is really a reservation only, so you have to either call or text the phone number that is stated in the About page because you will most likely not get a room without it.
To make a reservation, it seems like the owner prefers a text over a call for some reason because the owner did not pick up several calls I made. Even the text took me several attempts and a few hours just to make an hour long session reservation for 3 people.
It was about $40 per hour including the tax (Small room), which was fine I guess because there is no other private karaoke place in Columbus, but the overall experience was pretty bad.
It says the place opens at 8 PM, but the owner actually opened around 8:10 PM, which was bad since I made an 8 PM reservation. At least, I still got to stay a full hour.
The place had no food, and I think you cannot bring any food from outside, so you better eat something before going in. I did not have the alcohol in there because the collection seemed pretty basic.
Everything was in Chinese, so navigating through the karaoke machine was pretty bad. It also seemed like there were only Chinese songs, which wasn't great. I did find some other genres such as kpop, but that was about it. There was no pop song, so you have to use the YouTube to look up. The app kept glitching to the point where it was not usable though. The YouTube app also had ads. One of the mics had no batteries, so I had to go up to the counter to get a new one.
I do not think there was really an ac also because the room I was in was pretty hot when there were only 3 people inside. This might be wrong though because I pretty much got in as soon as it was opened.
Overall, I do not think I would really visit there again unless a special occasion comes because everything was mediocre except the lighting. The lighting...
Read moreThe good first. The location has great parking. Rooms are spacious (at least ours was), and the decor is about what youâd expect. They were able to work with us on not charging for time used. See more below.
The bad: We got a large room (11 in the party) expected to be used for 4 hours, at $55 an hour. They didnât answer the phone and instead responded to my voicemail with a text from what seemed to be a private number. Convenient, I guess, but weird. When we showed up we found that the machine consistently cut any song we selected about halfway through and reset. We asked the staff for help and none of the three working knew what was going on, just said it had never happened before. While trying to sort that out we tried to get drinks. Beers (usual stuff: Heineken, Bud Light, Corona, etc) was $5 a bottle with discounts on 12- and 24-packs, again fairly standard. The liquor was a nightmare. Only available to purchase by the bottle and the CHEAPEST options they had (Grey Goose and the like) were $108.
In the end, after multiple attempts to work the machine and one of the staff promising theyâd call the manager about the issue to get it resolved, then disappearing for 20 mins with no update, we decided to just go elsewhere. We spent an hour in the room and were able to sing two full songs. After some arguing, and pointing out that we didnât actually get to use the services, they were kind enough to only charge the $68 for the 12-pack we bought and drank half of.
There arenât many private room karaoke spots in Columbus, but I was unbelievably disappointed in this one. Would absolutely not recommend unless thereâs something about the system that myself or my friends couldnât figure...
Read moreUpdate on second visit in Jan 2025 for a friend's birthday:
They added YouTube as an option to the machine (+1), but the room REEKED of cigarettes (-1). Still wouldn't recommend but unfortunately is the only karaoke room place in Columbus. Text the number on their Google maps location for the best response times, calls do not work.
First visit review, a month or two after they opened:
Eat before you come, no food. Was never once asked about alcohol for the room. Had to reserve the room ahead of time, and even that was difficult to reserve because the only way to reserve it was through the phone number on Google maps. Karaoke system is a Chinese karaoke system, so be prepared for a lot of older English songs (big hits only), and select few of different languages including Korean and Japanese. Overall wouldn't come back again, disappointed.
Edit: they never answer phone calls, dropping from two star to one star, this...
