Always looking for fun & unique things to do and I'm so glad this place came to columbus! I did a tufting class with a friend and absolutely loved it. Literally will probably be back a couple of times because it turned out so cute and it was a fun experience. All of the staff was super nice -special shout out to Juan, great service and conversation. The guy I presume to be the owner/ manager was also super involved, not only engaging but assisting with projects. I think I stressed him out with my ambitious-ness but he was still supportive and in the end it turned out amazing. We paid about $70 plus tax (I think) and tip for an 18 x 18 but again I think it's worth it and I will definitely be back. The Vibes were on point I don't know if the playlist is always that good but they didn't miss a Beat with R&B /pop vibes. Keep in mind It does take the three or four hours that they say so please prepare accordingly. Maybe bring a couple images to choose from just so you can decide once understand the full process. The more detailed the longer it will take you have to trace your image before you fill it in with yarn.
They also have other activities and you can either rent out or host events there as well. So definitely check them out for intimate or larger scale events. There were a couple of different groups and some pairs there so it's super accommodating and you can bring your own snacks...
Read moreI stumbled across the place randomly when going through the shopping center. I had never heard of "tufting" before or knew something like this existed, and decided to try it. I signed up for a time slot. When you come in, they start you with a blank canvas, you can either sketch something freehand or use their projector to trace a design from your phone. The instructor gives you a brief lesson on tufting basics and tool safety. (For the lesson, I think it would help if they break up the information a bit to allow you to try throughout it, I felt like it was a lot of information at once before I could try it).
My design took about 3.5 hours on an 24x28 canvas and wasn't too complicated. You use the gun on the back side but the design comes together on the other side which is cool to see. After you finish, you leave it there and they will cut out the design, apply the backing for you, then you pick it up later (this takes about 2 weeks). I thought it was a fun experience. Staff were helpful and helped me with tips specific to my picture and helped mark some areas that needed to be filled more. It can get a bit tiring but you can take breaks and work at your own pace. I'm not sure if there's a better way to hold the yarn, but I had to rethread mine...
Read moreI had an amazing experience at here, trying both tufting and pottery painting for the first time! The tufting process was incredibly fun and rewarding—I got to design my own rug, choose from a wide variety of yarn colors, and learn how to use the tufting gun with the help of the friendly staff. It was a bit challenging at first, but once I got the hang of it, I was completely immersed in the process. Pottery painting was equally enjoyable and relaxing. The shop had a cozy atmosphere, well-equipped workstations, and supportive staff who made the experience even better. Whether you love DIY crafts or just want a fun and creative way to unwind, I highly...
