Great cake. Horrible Customer Service. My daughter was visiting San Diego and asked me to pick up a cake she ordered as she wasn’t sure she’d be home in time to pick it up herself. The ONLY way it would let her order online was through Door Dash and she chose the pick up option. I went to pick it up, first they said they didn’t use Door Dash; I pointed to the Door Dash sign hanging in plain site by their cash register. Then they told me they didn’t see the order on Door Dash. I showed them her confirmation. Then they said she must have ordered it at their other location; I showed them the text she received this morning that it was ready for pick up at THEIR location. Then they told me I could get a cake, but I would have to pay for it. I reminded them I just shared the order AND payment confirmation. THEN they told me “SHE picked it up” 5 minutes prior to my arrival there. I shared shes currently at the Airport in San Diego! After 20 minutes, they gave me a cake. Their cake tastes good, their Customer Service left a bad taste...

Terrible customer service. I called and greeted good morning. A female server picked up the phone. She was rude and interrupted me several times when I was placing an order. She would not listen to my questions except interrupting me by saying they don't make the cake I was asking about. I went with something they make and wanted to ask about more questions about the cake. As I tried to ask, she interrupted me again by saying "I already told you we don't make it. so what do you want to do". I told her she was rude and didn't even listen to my question. She replied again by "I already told you we don't make it. what do you want to do". I wasn't even asking if they make the cake! After a couple of exchanges, I said "never mind the order". I have been going to many different Asian bakeries, this one is similar to others, not outstanding. I go there because of the long standing history. But now I will take my business elsewhere. We are so thrilled with the cake from Golden Delight Bakery! From start to finish, the entire experience was fantastic. The team was incredibly fast and efficient in taking our order and working with us to bring our vision to life. We chose their famous strawberry cake for our wedding, which has always been a favorite of mine growing up, and it did not disappoint. The cake was not only beautiful—decorated perfectly to match our theme—but it also tasted absolutely amazing. We received so many compliments from our guests about how delicious it was, and several people mentioned it was the best wedding cake they’d ever had! We are so grateful to Golden Delight for making our wedding cake a memorable part of our day, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more.
